NSSCC Khanacross - Ansell Park - This Sunday (25th March) - Brindabella Motor Sport Club

Hi All,

Just letting you know that the NSSCC Year Starter Khana is on this Sunday out at Ansell Park at Richmond.

It's going to be one of the usual long-course khanacrosses that we have run in the past few years and lots of runs guaranteed. Last year we packed up early because everyone decided that they had enough runs! (12 x 1km+ runs)

It's a no-BS* style event. Just turn up and enter on the day.

If the weather is looking iffy, call the CoC Glenn Farrant on 0422 399 708 for an update.

We need plenty of officials too, so if you can spare some time on Sunday, please call Glenn.

If you haven't been to Ansell Park before, it's suitable for road cars, although there are a few areas you'd probably need to take it easier than if you were in a khana/rally car.

A great opportunity to give the car a shakedown before Oberon.

Times:

Scrutineering start: 7:30am
Driver's Briefing: 9:15am
Start: 9:30

Cost:

Entry Fee: $50 ($30 for Juniors) Note: $5 surcharge for credit card transactions

Car Requirements:

900g Extinguisher
Rally Tyres allowed
Generally roadworthy (i.e. Steering, Suspension, etc)

Driver Requirements:

2NS License
Club Membership
Helmet
Good footwear
Neck/Wrist/Ankle clothing for Open cars only

Damn! i wish my car wasnt in pieces and my leg wasnt half broke! id be there for sure, ill have to keep an eye out for the next one

Well, at least no-one in Sydney has an excuse for not competing/officialling this weekend.

Um......getting Lancer ready for AMSAG Rallysprint the weekend after?

Very tough choice, 3 excellent events but I doubt I'll get it all back together till Sunday night.

Damn I've locked myself, son and friend into running the state khanacross at awaba to FINALLY give the trueno a run, well my son is. I'll still be running the commode and my friend will be running the Excel. Ah well if it rains here and not south I might have to travel a bit further.

but the trueno still has its SKDAC sticker on it!!!!

Just back from setting up the tests. We got a very light shower which made the grass slipperier than greased snot (TM), but the underneath is dry, so it will run unless there's a big downpour tonight.

Lost of slow ful sik dorifto action to be had

.....oh and I've worn in the tracks....just so you'll know where you're going

If you're wavering about which event to attend this weekend I reckon that you'll get more runs, more fun and less BS at Ansell Park!

I will admit to being a bit biased though.

We did. thanks glen and officials for a great day. Most fun me and the boys have had a khanacross. Having a good car helped too. cant wait till we fine tune ouselves into it.
