Ah, that explains the rally car traffic and people in and around Kuitpo forest on the Friday.

I was down in SA for the Clubbie Nationals at Hahndorf and the Climb to the the Eagle on the Friday morning.

After that it was a wander down past Kuitpo to Victor Harbour and then back via various locations and McLaren Vale.

I spotted the same WRX both in the morning and afternoon and thought that there may have been some testing going on.

The Climb was awesome!!!. Sitting on the GP straight in the park with 100 clubbies and 200 odd assorted other sports cars.

I thinking most of the inbound peak hour traffic drivers all suffered sore necks as we all headed out of town and up the hill.

Picture this.....9.10am, 4 lanes of outbound sports cars of all varieties stopped at the Tollgate, about 7 cars deep. About 10 clubbies, couple of E-Types, few Fiats, couple of Porsches, the odd Mini Cooper, a few BM's etc etc . Lights go green and we all let loose up the hill to the 100 zone.

Some video from the event on Sunday - weather was bad - very windy ... looked like a good event - 8 stages on the Sunday is pretty good for a small local event - will have to give it a bash next year !

Scott - Glad you survived without panel damage! The weather was very interesting to day the least. Total state fireban Saturday and cold/wet (think there was some hail too ) on the Sunday!

Lucky67 - Hehehe... We wondered why all these Clubbies were driving around! Nice weather for it.

bbr - Can I ask who you are (just curious). Am guessing you are a local South Aussie???

As part of the SARC next year, the plan is to include this event as a tarmac round of the championship and run in June (pending the calendar). The Kuitpo gravel event is scheduled for October.

Five round championship again. Excellent.
Just hope your tarmac round isn't too close to Robertstown.

Sure was cold on Sunday morning Lisi, sitting facing the wind on Willunga Hill was a challenge even in my ski jacket. Will have to be inside a warm Subaru next year instead. Great event by the looks.

Tell me about it! I was diverting the un-necessary traffic from entering the service area when it absolutely bucketed down! I am positive there were small hail stones! Which was all well and good for the top half of me in my nice warm jacket but walking around in wet jeans just ain't cool!!!
