Unfortunately "calendar wise", this event is only a couple of weeks after the Corsa di Mille Pini but if you feel like an interstate trip, we would love to have you over (if not, Ethan and I will see you at Corsa anyway )!
The event will have a bit of everything, including being open for pacenoting for those who are looking for some extra practice.
Sing out if you have any queries about the event and I will do my best to sort out an answer for you.

Hi Everyone
Please find below Media Release 2 for the 2007 Adelaide Hills Tarmac Sprint. This release has important information on the classes allowed to enter the event and the changes made to do so.
South Australian Tarmac Rally Championship
Media Release 2
17/09/2007
Due to popular demand, the organisers of the Adelaide Hills Tarmac Sprint have opened up the allowed classes to include all M1, M2, M3 and M4 Tarmac vehicles in addition to all of the Classic Tarmac Classes.
The previous Media Release had alluded to the exclusion of M2 contemporary 4wd and M3 late modern and contemporary 4wd. This has been overturned as the organisers considered it more important to have a “true State Championship” open to all Tarmac Classes.
The reasoning behind the first announcement was the concerns with breaking the CAMS allowed average speeds for Tarmac Rallies, but after a further look of the course on the weekend, the organisers have added 3 chicanes (there were previously none) to the course to keep the speeds down.
The “Registration on Interest” in the event has been coming in at an increasing pace over the last two weeks including many local high profile teams. The Registration of Interest Forms can be found on the www.asprally.com website.
Supplementary Regulations are due for release late September and will be posted to all Registered Competitors as well as be up on the website.
If you have any enquiries at all about the event, please feel free to contact Michael Clements on 0418 804 105.
Kind regards

Don;t know if I am reading this right or not but it seems on Sunday the Spectator guide and the webpage says:
For the event on Sunday:
Cars can be viewed at Pennys Hill Winery at 9am
Start is at 10am
Spectator point 1 - Wickams Hill - 10:18
Spectator point 2 - Williunga Hill - 9:41
Spectator point 4 - Wickhams Hill - 12:40
Spectator point 5- Willunga Hill - 2:03
Is that the right time for Spectator point 2 ??? - Seems by my clock to be happening before the day starts ?? - SHould it be 10:41 ??

GRAVEL EVENT CANCELLED
Hi All
Bad News. Just got off the phone with CoC Michael Clements and yes tomorrows ASP Southern Rally is cancelled due to Total fire ban.
Unfortunately after much head scratching and considering, no alternative could be found. (We are simply not allowed to rally or service on forrestery
land)
So this is what is being proposed..
Competitors in the SARC Gravel Rally will be offered 75% of their entry fee back, or free entry into the Tarmac Sprint on Sunday, However the tarmac event will NOT be integrated with the SA Tarmac rally championship, and as a result will be a stand alone event. (Trophies will be awarded from the trophies that have already been bought for the gravel rally.)
The competitors that take up the offer to do the tarmac will not be awarded points toward the SARC. (2007 SARC now complete)
Could all competitors who read this please ring Darryl Power or Carol McGough to confirm that they know (numbers in Supp Regs)
Failing that these three people will make contact with everyone tonight.
Congratulations to our (very Deserved) New SA Rally Champions Matt Selley and Joanna Fuller!!!!
And huge commiserations to Michael and the organizing team..
Cheers
Declan Dwyer

Hi Guys,
Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes:
I (and my navigator Shane) just wanted to say a huge thanks to everyone who organised and helped with the running of last weekend's Adelaide Hills Tarmac Sprint.
It was brilliant fun (although we didn't place as high as we hoped), and I got some valuable experience in bad weather conditions and managed to (somehow ) avoid panel damage...
Thanks to all the organisers, officials etc etc., who volunteered their time and endured miserable conditions just so that people like Shane and I could have fun..
Sorry we didn't hang around for the dinner. I'd been up since 4am as I was so excited I couldn't sleep
See you all next year...
Cheers,
Scott Wallace.
