Wow, I'm glad to see you guys got a nice, simple set of rules sorted out
I am sure this is exactly what's needed for these forums

I didn't ask to be a moderator. I have never moderatored anyone and have no intention of moderating anyone. I don't even know how to moderate. I'm only on the BMSC committee because they feel their members that are part of the ACT Series Committee should be on the BMSC Committee, which I've always been against anyway. Why do you think I never go to the Committee meetings.

Whats the issue all it says is be nice and polite, a bit hard at times for those that are a bit on the overly passionate side.
At the end of the day all that goes on reflects on the Club as it is their name on the line...or online take your pick.

The assumption is that this does not apply top the 'Sponsors plugs' forum?

You assume correct. It is a standard rule - rock-solid except in the exception where exceptions are accepted.
Plug away, my friend. Plug away...

Do you know the difference? Defamation is a concept that covers libel and slander, without being too simplistic, slander equals defamatory transient comment (eg spoken word) where as libel equals defamatory ongoing commnet (eg pinted word). Ergo - not really and capability for slander to exist here.
and surely JS is worth more than 2/10, he is winning the chuck norris poll!

Would it be impossible to monitor people's real names on the forum? I know I use a 'username' which has no reference to my real name but have since put my 'real name' in my signature for peoples reference. Can something be implemented to have it in our details i.e location, join date etc so our 'real names' are obvious? Just curious...

Lisi, click the person's username -> "View Public Profile". Scroll down to "Additional Information"... voila!
Obviously this information is only available if the person has set it in their user profile, but it is now mandatory to enter your first and last names when you register.

Coolies. So I guess we are relying then on peoples balls/honesty to put in legitimate details?

Short of asking for an original drivers license or passport when they register, that's about all you can do.

Can someone please ask TKM to modify his signature so that it conforms with rule 33?
