When you straightline the new roundabout on cotter road and smile when you get it light enough off the 'ripple strip' to get a chirp from all four wheels on the exit
When you know every mid corner bump between home and your workplace
When you say ' damn that corner in Chapman is slippery' and everyone chimes in 'yeh I've almost lost it there'
When its faster to take Greenhills then the Parkway (- Sorry to you younger ones you never got to experience that)
When the term Bantech is synonymous with cars that are faster then they have a right to be
When you look at an Excell that goes 'pssssstht' and laugh
When your road car has old rally tyres on it
When you wake up and have BMSC stickers plastered all over your house
When you walk into a autoparts store and go "I need one of these" and they say "whats it off?" and saying "its not important can I just have one the same" is SO much easier then explaning.
When you run into someone on the street and say hi and the standard reply to your wifes question on who they are is "Just someone I know through rallying"

When you mother, who lives three hours away and has NOTHING to do with rallying asks you "Do you know Bernie Webb?".

... you know what that little foil thingy in the first aid kit is used for...
... you get in a car with four grown men and KNOW you'll be the only one not about to shyt yourself from fear going through the rspca roundabout (poor daniel i think he'll recover soon) ... and then get complimented on the fact that you lean into corners...

...when you spend money on "The Sounds of Rallying" CD and, despite protests from other family members, find great comfort in listening to it over and over again at high volume.
...when the term "Weber BBQ" reminds you of the time your air filter box caught on fire.
...when running off the racetrack at speed events is seen, not so much as an error in judgement, but as a golden opportunity to get all crossed up in the dirt.
...when you've sheltered from snow at the Sunny Corner community hall.

when getting up at 6am on a weekday generates resentment, but getting up at 4am on a Saturday in Winter to set up a stage in the forest is quite understandable
....and your wife asks if one thermos will be enough, when the usual routine is for you to get her a coffee.
when Mr Pre-school simply assumes there will be rallying on CH 10 on Sundays and reminds everyone all morning

Or asks which are the biggest bulldozer and chain sizes...... (to clear the forest as quick as possible!).

when you know of every dirt road in a 10km radius of your home.
You know where people crashed on certain stages years ago
