Hmmmm
24" wheelchair wheels methinks (got a supply at Dad's place - he uses the electric one mostly these days).
And never mind rope - how about a steering wheel? That'll sort them. Got a couple of spare race seats in the shed, too.
That weight limit had better be without driver - otherwise my cart will have to be made from hydrogen (and a lot of it) for me to qualify.
I love constructive silliness. Hey, maybe it should be a series - Canberra and Hampton to count and one or two more.

I'd use helium but it's twice the weight.

And about 50x the price LOL
Tamsey so can I get a definate on that - Spoked wheels are ok as long as they are 'protected'?
Nice........
BTW are you going to design it so that carts can be double or triple entered? (correct answer is yes )

As I said its a rough guide but pretty much along the lines of the rules.
Those thinking of bikes wheels and wheelchair wheels (covered) better hope to not hit and big ruts or rocks

Hey Ben - theres nothing in the rules saying the wheels have to be touching the ground, or that engines are banned (just that it has to be gravity propelled).
How about a gravity propelled hovercraft?

Before everyone gets to excited, have we ensured that we are going to be able to get insurance for this little escapade?
[sarcasm]I can't see how any insurance company would have any problem with 200kg manned projectiles plummeting down a mountain[/sarcasm]

CAMS affiliated clubs can get social event insurance. But we'll just be a group of mates out having a fang in the forest wont we? We'll be doing under 40kph...............maybe.
