Just a reminder that the race is at Murrays Corner on the Sunday 9th Nov and entries close at the end of October.

Brakes and everything steering still needs attention, it's a little to 'direct' for foot controls.. Glad i haven't added any weight, it's a PITA to move around now, a 100kg cart would be a real problem.
My real problem is that I designed it to fit in the back of the ute, then added camber. Now the wheels don't fit between the wheelarches....

Knowing the way you drive a go kart, probably Boss.
9 days to go til close of entries everyone. 3 carts locked in so far.
Frinkenstein Cart
Team LCCC Cart
Mad Mal Cart
Have all the other interested parties go their carts underway:
Raybak ???
QWRX ???
Converga ???
Boormat ???
Still nearly 3 week til the event, heaps of time to chuck something together.
We're also looking for a sponsor or two to pay for the BBQ and help towards prizes.
Simey and I got ours mostly nutted and base frame completed friday night, just gotta work out positioning of steering and brakes.

Back in ya hole Linda, dont you have a khana to get ready.
Does anyone have some hay/straw bales we can use for the course, just enough for the two bends incase some nuffy goes off. Bout a dozen should do it

5 carts so far
Frinkenstein
Team LCCC
Mad Mal
Raybak Mini-Charade
Boormat, you got that cart finished yet.
Those not going to SMR still have this weekend to throw one together, really not that hard.
Entries spose to close this week but If you ring me or email or PM and tell me you WILL be there with a cart, I'll put you on list.
We're still looking for a sponsor or two to pay for the BBQ and help towards prizes and for a contact for cheap bales of straw/hay.

Did a bit of testing yesterday, and learnt that touching the brake at high speed = death wobbles, front brakes would be good but rear brake = big skids

Right, we (Frinky, I, The Stig) are ready to put an entry in.
Is scrutineering really at 8am on a Sunday morning?
How long is scrutineering?
It says practice is after scrutineering.
What time does the racing start?
And do we only get one actual competitive run each? And it is based on that time? Or is it: knock out style with the winner of each race going through to the next round.
I'm surprised you haven't heard from those Qirx guys. You think a bunch of engineers and nerds could come up with something that could take on the Frinky ground effect coffin. Especially with all those gokarts they keep in the workshop...
Tamsey, even if you get the poops and cancel the event, we'll still be out there having a bash. Just won't cost us $15 for a $5 piece of plastic...

Ok, firstly, Kirsten yes the 9th and yes Dick Lettuce already told me today about the wedding and said he'll be out at lunch.
Boss you toss bag, you have to turn a laid back fun day into a pain in the arse experience dont you. Just get out the at 8am and and you get a couple of practice runs and couple of runs in the event but if we only have a few then we might make it three runs.
QIRX were thinking about it but were also trying to get to Coffs so not sure.
TAMSEY here by the way...
