reversing during recce
what are peoples feelings on this?
I ask as during pj's recce on tidbinbilla this morning an APRC crew (i belive) reversed over a blind R3 over crest and pj hit them, i'm unsure of the exact damage to the recce car but it's enough the it isn't drivable and we had to get someone to take him another car,
is it just me or isn't that a BIG NO NO!
both crews are all ok

Is is an absolute no no.
This mornings accident that you describe proves why it is a rule and why it should be strictly enforced
An APRC crew should know a lot better.
Glad to hear the crews are ok but it should never have happened.

thats what i'd like to know and spoken to my driver and the recce car (xg falcon ute) will be a write off, they were in a wrx recce car and were able to drive out. not to mention the fact that to get to "JACK'S HOUSE" you must cross over "OLD DEPOT" AND then go WD on "JACK"S HOUSE" to get to the start of it!!! OMG people did we not learn anything from poss's tragic accident!! this is asking for something to go wrong!

Recce is supposed to be one way ( rally direction) for all competing cars and Hello!!!! at the posted speed or the speed designated in the supp regs.
The APRC crew need to be excluded and Tamsey needs to give himself an uppercut. Its not practice its reconnaissance there is a huge difference and using one as the other is very dangerous

you must cross another?
then travel against recce traffic to the start of that stage to recce it!!!
your kidding aren't you???

after i have taken the car through scriuteneering i will be getting the full story from my driver loging an incident report and talking to the CRO's and CoC about this, and as for crossing the stage and the WD i no that the offical's were not happy about it eather and they only found out last night!

CORRECT! my dad is the Stage commander for one of these stages and he only found out last night they were planning to do this.
