Thanks for the tip. Actually sounds like a good idea, and would be a great opportunity to "test" the car before Bathurst, just to check that it's all working...

Is this a CAMS event or is it possible to run cars without log books, cages etc? (I'm assuming that the RX-2 will still be a LONG way from being ready for anything more strenuous than paperweight duties...)

This is a CAMS speed event so all necessary rules will apply.

Kelly,
Is it just khanacross rules - blue battery sticker, bonnet restraint, extinguisher, helmet, longs sleeves, etc?
Got a few new members with road cars that are interested in coming.
Thanks.

Andrew,
Very similar yes. Blue triangle, secondary bonnet catch, fire extinguisher, neck to wrist to ankle clothing, secondary throttle spring and of course a helmet.
If they are just road cars this should be fine (wouldn't hurt to check the manual though, just in case I have missed something). If they are unregistered cars there are a few other requirements.
If you need further clarification speak to Batty at your meeting next Thursday. He is the scrutineer.
Kelly.
