LCCC Khanacross
LCCC Khanacross Tri Series is coming.
This is a poll to get an idea of numbers.
All trophies are now ordered, there has been a ribbon/medallion included for the fastest time in each test.
These are the dates for the events:
Sunday 13th April 2003
Sunday 18th May 2003
Sunday 13th July 2003
The venue for all three events will be: RAAF Base Fairbairn, Glenora Rd, ACT.
This will be a series comprising of three events (Doh!).
Trophies for each individual event.
Major trophies for the series overall!
Series positions will be decided by cumulative times from all events.
Club rivalry is strongly encouraged, and here's why
Introducing
The "John Watson Interclub Shield"
The "John Watson Interclub Shield" will be a perpetual trophy, won by the highest placed LCCC or BMSC Club member for the entire series, for their club. It's an impressive thing (think Peter Bamman size) and will look great in the hands of whoever wins it. And I know that'll be someone from the BMSC.
May the banter begin!!!
Stay tuned for more info and updates as they come to hand.

1. What you boys scared of SKDAC? Date clash was just an 'accident' was it? Yeah right... Where's that chicken emoticon?
2. How big is Peter Bamman? A tall bloke is he?
3. I'm undecided where I'll be on the first one (SKDAC date clash, remember...), but count me in for the others.
4. I'll enter as being from whichever club has the fewest drivers at each round....

Peter did end up taller than usual, he was squashed by a truck in 1979/80 summer.

No-ones scared, but it's pretty hard to check for date clashes with a club that keeps its dates very close to its chest.
I would've checked the SKDAC web-site, if it had been updated any time in the last six months. And when was the last time that SKDAC sent out an invite to any of it's khana's to anyone but a SKDAC member? The proposed dates for this have been up before ( like in this thread).
Don't get me started... I almost had this blue with someone else last night, but bit my tongue.

Stop being a sooky-la-la and join a local club ferchrissakes. Or you won't get a shot at the shield.

My apologies, I just didn't know what to think when I was told to "think Peter Bamman size"...
1st SKDAC Khana of the year is also on 13/4, apparently. AFAIK, both dates would have been applied for (and granted) at about the same time (within a week, by my reckoning), so there probably isn't any deliberate date clash, but that doesn't mean it isn't a clash... (and, to be fair, CAMS state office probably doesn't realise that a large proportion of competitiors at the SKDAC events are Canberra based, or that the Canberra event would probably get another half dozen competitors if there wasn't a date clash with an event on the coast..).

ANy old steward, you just have to bring along your special form, which the CAMS Licencing people should give/fax to you when you say that you want to do your OLT's.
And do the on-line lecture thing soon, so that you've got time to sort the rest of it out...
Get your bum into gear, man!

Thanks to the kids at CAMS, and the magic of Visa, Mrs Fro now has a CAMS L2NS Competition Licence. And her entry form is filled in and sitting on my desk.
Be afraid. Be very afraid.
Hopefully, I'll get my competition licence back in the mail in the next couple of days, so that I can enter as well. Looking forward to it...

Tweets, I think you'll be fine. Mrs Fro will be angry, but I don't think she'll be fast. At least, not her first attempt.
I am scared though. She keeps talking about how she wants to learn how to do a handbrake turn. And how she hasn't rolled a car, yet. In the same sentence.

If I pay for the events seperatly as they happen, am I still in the running for the entire seires trophy or do I need to pay the entire Seires price now.
Cheers,
Matt

If you are entering the series "Tri" (as in the three events), you need to pay for the three events by the start of the second event, to be eligible for the Tri Series trophies and the shield for your club and day trophies, ribbons
or you can pay for each event as they go, but you will only be eligible for the day trophies and ribbons
So on each day there will be a trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd places, there will also be ribbons for the fastest time each test "1st only"
Tri series; The above applies, but if you enter and pay buy the start of the 2nd event, you will also in the running for a overall series Trophy for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and a shield for you club (LCCC and BMSC only)
