As many times as you want providing a) membership and b) all doco completed- If it's organised, do it by close of doco simply for ease. Just nominate 1 for scoring purposes to keep it simple
I've got to call you soon anyway mate re:scrutineering venue so we will talk. It's all easy.

Sounds true. But to be fair to CAMS- the CAMS rego is in a mess as well.
Look, AMSAG is a funny beast. It was only 12 months ago that they were struggling for fields. There was a 2wd "Classic" mentality in the club which was very genuine and much-loved, but the rest of the sport viewed the club as 'old farts in old cars', or 'Formula Datsun' rockets. Things needed to change.
There was a meeting at the end of last year, and I did a good job I think of stirring them up. If you don't get entries you die. You MUST recruit- constantly or you die, and how many people want to rally 2.4L Datsuns? They say it's classic... well maybe it is- but to me it's not. A Classic rally series would have Volvo's, Saabs, Citroens, Torana's, Monaro's etc. I see AMSAG as a "funny" Gp G category- I saw it evolve into it, and I personally can't see the club surviving as such. Some would disagree- everyone has a view or what is or isn't a classic.
Now we've got a modern category up- 4wd etc. I'd love to see some more FWD cars out there, Excels etc. There are a few boys in the club chasing 'cheap' horsepower running SR20 Turbo motors in an unclassified class. There are 4wd Off Road racers competing. Some of this is probably due to AASA springing up and people questioning what AMSAG is, or more importantly what it could become.
The bottom line is regardless of your car/opinions/alliances- we are all here for the same thing. We just want good, safe rallies with a 'competitor friendly' approach. AMSAG offers easier rallying. I don't think it has the prestige of some CAMS events, but it's building. There are many good competitors in AMSAG, and many fast cars.
It's obvious to me that AMSAG needs to attract existing rally competitors across to run a few events, and generally these competitors will bring PRC cars across. We've got to evolve and hit a few of these issues- like rego- head on... but also this is just a car club. The man power is very small, and the club runs 5 or 6 events every year! It's a phenomenal achievement and guys like Fast Eddy, Crichy, Toppy etc (and many others) do the sport a great service just by keeping the club active and as an option.
Obviously the sponsorship from Aussieduct is key as well- but yeah... the more I look at AMSAG the more I like. I think we will get a field for Oberon, and the series will grow next year. Just imagine what AMSAG could become in NSW?

Be careful, most UHF CB handhelds are much less than 5Watts. They are generally between .5 and 2 Watts. In fact 5W is the maximum permissible power for a UHF CB. If the regulations don't specify and just having one is sufficient then there are some really cheap and nasty things around.
The local radio club recently offered the chance to buy the ICOM at a very good price. These are considered to right up there in terms of quality and performance. Contact Phil Longworth (WICEN1) on this forum. They may still be available.

Bring it on (or up) as they say.
All these new guys say "yeah I can do it" so, the cars still a little chunky so why not put a few "YICDI" 's in and throw em out after they unload then put in the next one in.
Stink dosnt worry me, puke, crap, dead fish ..... put it all in there!
Now, who said "YICDI" first, he can get in first. First in, least chuck!

A bit of an update, I was up on the roads yesterday and I decided to 'rework' one of the stages. (I've actually split it into 2 stages and cut out a "middle" road) The overall distance will drop by about 10kms to approx 160 competitive, but the roads are better quality.
It's a technical course, lots of high-speed braking into tight apex corners. Generally the forest is in good condition. It's a bit different up that way at the moment- it's very green and the dams are full. Vulcan Rd is like a 'billiard table' and we haven't even picked up a puncture yet!
Brad and Brett at Dimension 1 Rallysport have come onboard and are sponsoring the event yet again. The rally will be based out of the Oberon RSL club. We will have a staging area on Saturday morning to kick the event off.
Jo Batt will have her 'Food Van' out and about keeping us all fed during the day like she has done previously at Myall and Cowra. Dinner will be at the R.S.L club prior to the presentation and the traditional AMSAG drinks to conclude the rally in the evening.
There is a bit of interest from competitors around the event (probably a bit from people wanting me to fail as well) which is always good. There isn't much on the calender until the end of the year so I'm hoping we can get a few new members and put on a good AMSAG style BS free rally.
Supp regs out very soon.

Looks like a goer for this one. Just a quick one, what is the easiest way to pay the membership? Is there a meeting coming up or should I just fax the form over?
Now I just have to find someone dumb enough to navigate...
