This is disappointing news, but unfortunately not unexpected.
We still hope to see Neal and Coral and Simon and Sue at the start line for RoC, in whatever format they could compete.
A huge thank you to Neal and the Toyota team for supporting the sport of rallying for a number of years, and we appreciate your time and efforts contributing back to the sport, particularly at the grass roots level.
This is sad news, but a tough decision had to be made, and I'm sure it wasn't an easy decision.
All the best, and thank you (for more than you probably realise),
Nathan, Jason, Stuart & Linda

Agreed 100%!
These guys were the pinnacle of professionalism in our sport, not just the biggest/most successful.
I wish all of them the best in whatever direction Neal Bates Motorsport heads in future. And I sure hope it's a bright future.

Whatever the basis - it is a sensible commercial decision for toyota and a sad day for the sport. What we need to do now is build the sport from the ground up, cause there aint nuthin at the top. This sad event is now an opportunity to really revisit the whole basis of rallycorp and arcom and the ARC, lets be a bit Churchillian and make this our finest hour.
Personally I really hope we get to see TRD in action in some way, and that we get to see Neal and Coral competing for a few years yet.

:-(
I agree. It was a decision that was always going to be made but that doesn't make it any easier to hear.
I too would like to thank all the Toyota team people that have helped support the sport. I remember with no small sense of awe when, after officiating at a few events, I competed at Batemans Bay as a Navigator and on one of the stages I handed my time card to Coral Taylor at the control point and then to Neal Bates on the start line.
I can remember thinking that I was expecting to be the official taking the time card from Coral, not the other way around. It was then I realized the caliber of the rally community and one of the reasons I have fallen for this sport. They have supported the sport form the ground up and that is a memory and an example that I will not soon forget.
I am sure we will see them around but its a sad day indeed...
