Car Hoists - where to buy second hand

Since Matty J has a new (well it's new to him) car hoist I want one too

Where is the best place to find them, where are the auctions/classifieds for this sort of equipment?

Does anyone have one they want to sell? It will need to be able to lift the patrol.

Anything else a mechanically inept lad like myself needs to know?

I'm currently looking for one as well, but I want one on the gold coast.

With all the hype about car dealers going broke, there doesn't seem to be the flood of workshop equipment around that you might have expected.

Mate of mine got an old tecalamit 2 post off greys online for $400ish. Its 240v so its a bit slow, but is rated to 3t and it lifts his landcruiser, so it should be fine for a patrol.

We have just bought a brand new one, a 4tonne, clear floor from the local chinese importer, and can say for the price of it ($3000 i think) i can say its well worth it for what we are using it for.

Oh, sorry its not for sale. Just mentioned that he bought it of Greys. Great site for workshop equipment when the liquidators move in to buisnesses.

Im actually suprised myself that there isnt more gear on there for sale, maybe things will get worse.

There are a couple of places selling them. 240 volt as well as 3 phase.
