Volunteers Required - Appliance Installation Stages - 23 May 2009

Hi All

Well it's that time of year again when we require officials to assist us in the running of the 3rd Round of the ACT Rally Series.

The event details are as follows

Name: Appliance Installation Stages
Date: 23rd May 09

The event will comprise of 14 stages in the canberra forests . We have brought back 'the Mineshaft'. Not once, but twice over the renowned drop. With stage names of Greenhills/Bluetts/Mineshaft/Murrays/Tidbinbilla/Pierces and Bannister (which is the longest stage joining Mineshaft and Tidbinbilla together) there is bound to be plenty of action.

The organisers are expecting that many people who normally officiate may be competing or servicing at this event. So we need you to spread the word that we need approximately 60 volunteers. All stages are repeated but if you can only help in the am, or pm let us know as well.

Some Stage Commanders have key people that they call on as part of their team, and contact them seperately. Please let us know if you fall into this category and let us know which stage team you are with.

The First Competitive Car is due to start at Weston Club at 0930 hours and the last car is due to finish back at the Weston Club at 2004 hours.

RAP meeting is (currently) scheduled for the night before in Canberra, so I should be able to help out. Start/Finish/road closure/whatever...

Need to check with the boss though.

Well we are 3 weeks out from this great event and we are still in need a minimum of 20 Officials to fill all teams to minimum requirments.

If you are able to fill any of these holes please get in touch with me asap.We dont want to have to cut stages due to bieng a few officials short

I have just been told my accomodation and travel is sorted by the lovely Marcus (mainly so he can have me there - might as well do something useful!)

Got our car all ready, but I haven't been able to chase up any other bodies to assist.
I'll put a sign on the counter at work with the rally car out front, hopefully it may attract some attentenion.
