....try: Official on an oil rig in Bass Strait!
We got it in late last week probably just as the entries ticked over the 100-mark. Fingers crossed.

I have things crossed that I didnt know could cross
Does anyone know if people who have competed in the previous Alpines get some sort of priority?? Like they use to.

Nope. The only priority places (actually guaranteed places) are for people who have done at least 3 HRA events this year as a crew.
Personally, I reckon "genuine" HRA members should get precedence over those who join just to do the Alpine ..... but hey, that's the way the club has decided to do it so I'll live with it !

When we asked the question, we were told the 7th of November, which for us is a little late too book flights, accomodation, hire car etc.

According to Supp Regs, entries close 11th October for pre-registered entries & start order announced 1 November.

I've had to amend my entry - my daughter/co-driver found out yesterday that she has an exam on the Friday morning of the Alpine ... you would think that Universities would know better, wouldn't you ! As a consolation, I'll be pointing the way for a true legend of the sport

Harper the Elder* - 84 years old and still going strong. Who says this sport gets in your blood ?
(* unless of course Kim & I are in with a shot at winning the club championship after Bagshot, in which case there may be an exchange of co-drivers between the 2 Harper Escorts )

November 7 is scrutiny day. Perhaps whoever gave the answer was taking your reference to "final' too literally. I would expect a list showing projected starters and reserves would have to be known before that - just so you know to go to scrutiny.
If you were one of the first list of 41 odd entries published, you should be "in" I would expect.

We should be ok anyway, we were one of the first lots. Its just we are planning on leaving Perth for the trip over about then anyway, and yeah, We would hate to find out once we were half way across the Nullabour that we can turn around and head home.
