Volunteers needed for the Woden Tradies' Back in the Black Rally

We're after volunteers for the Woden Tradies' Back in the Black Rally. Below is the email we'll be sending Rally of Canberra volunteers. If you'd like to get in early to claim the best spots, fill in the form at http://www.bmsc.com.au/sdownload/download.php?id=129 and email/fax/post it back to us (details on the form). Or you could just give Jem or Jon a call.

The Woden Tradies' Back in the Black Rally is being held on Sunday 29 June 2003. This is a pace noted event, and part of the ACT Regional Rally Series. All stages are in the Pierces and Uriarra Forests to the west of Canberra - the first chance that local competitors will have to run after the fires. The first car leaves the start at 8am, and the last car will be at the finish venue by about 5.30pm so this isn't a long night in the cold. It should be a great fun day.

The organisers, Matt Dyne and Marc Kelly, are looking for the help of some volunteers to assist the running of the rally. They are after control officials, road closures, spectator marshals and regroup/service park officials. The Woden Tradesmens' Union Club will be supporting the event by providing meals and drinks to officials after the event.

Thanks to all the volunteers that made the Woden Tradies' Back in the Black Rally happen.

Every one of you dealt with atrocious conditions and very difficult and changing circumstances professionally and with aplomb. I know some of you had a difficult time out there.

All the competitors I spoke to offered their thanks for your efforts, and gave a loud cheer when I thanked you all at the presentation.
