Southern Mountains Rally 2010
Following a number of phone calls and emails etc from punters enquiring about the Southern Mountains Rally I thought I should post some early advice here.
With the Alpine run and won preparations are well under way for the 2010 event. It will again be conducted in a similar format to 2008. Approx 650k, 350Competitive over 18 stages all different.
There are some new stages planned along with a slightly rearranged shedule to allow for an earlier finish Saturday evening. Sunday format will be similar with the finish approx noon. At this stage we have a choice of dates which looks like being late July early August.
The rally will again be set with primarily Classic / Historic /PRC 2WD vehicles in mind along the lines of the famous Alpine rally. It will also once again have a seperate component for modern vehicles, this will be in the form of a seperately named event.
We intend to guage interest via an experession of interest as in 08 and this should be available around mid / late January along with more event details. The rally will be limited to 70 entries in order to meet the western region forests road closure requirements. Entry preference will be given to those with who register interest in order of reciept.
If your in for great competition with fun and adventure on the best roads in NSW, this will be the event to do in 2010.
Who will be king of the Southern Mountains 2010 ?

Bob Moore/Roger Moore/Stanza will probably compete, subject to respectable amount of driving in the dark.
