WRC Game- Release Date
Says 8th October... I wonder if that is the same for us...

The developers of the brand new official videogame of the FIA World Rally Championship have announced that the finished product will go on sale on 8th October this year.
The game is published by Italian firm Black Bean Games and will be available for PlayStation®3 and Xbox®360 consoles as well as for the PC.
The game, the first to be officially endorsed by the WRC for five years, is the only one to feature the cars, drivers and co-drivers from the current WRC season and from all support classes: P-WRC, S-WRC and J-WRC.
It features 78 different rally stages and over 550km of varied road conditions from the 13 countries which host a round of the championship. Also available for the first time is a new 'Road to the WRC' career mode in which players compete for 50 different trophies. Online multiplayer game modes, meanwhile, allow players around the world to embark on their own epic motorsport adventures.

Going to be a good game, have been beta testing for a bit now.
Still a few issues to sort out but looking very good.
Will be good for updates as well, hopefully will get a good following like RBR still has.

I sure hope it does turn out to be a good game! Last quality rally game was one PS2.
Colin McRae dirt is a good game but far from a rally game!

Have you tried Richard Burns Rally with the 2010 update? There's no rally games out there that can beat it.
We have a large rally sim community that is continually updating RBR.

You need the Logitech G25 or G27 wheel as well to go with your projector. I run the G25 with my home made simulator and a projector using the PC. If you have the PC version of RBR you can do all the upgrades, as well as quite a few other games.
Just don't take on Tristan at RBR, he's quicker than in the real stuff

WTF!!! Your kidding me! I didnt know that there were updates for Richard Burns. Damn right about Colin Mcrae Rally though. Best one was number 4 and dirt just ruined them.
I look forward to beating you all at RBR though...

RBR is still the benchmark. Some guys are making some great stages for it. I was ranked as high as 12th in the world on the czech plugin at one point, up against 18,000 or so 
Fletch you can only patch and use plugins on the pc version of RBR.
This new game looks the goods. PC port as well, time to repair the g25...

That's very interesting Raymond. As the last I heard This game had the official naming rights to all things WRC... Checking the demo vids and stills will varify it, but I'm sure there's room enough for two officially licenced WRC games I just wonder how it will go down with Polyphony Digital with GT5 pencilled (note: pencilled) in for a Nov 2010 release as aposed to Black Beans Oct 2010 release.
Somebody needs to do something, I've just finished my simulator (complete with Logitech G27 system), and have a massive hankering for some good racing action...
