Classic outback Trial 2010

Hi all,

This year's Frontier Services Classic Outback Trial is only a month away.
Crews will be at Forbes on Sat,21st Aug(same day as Myall and thanks to Julia Gulia, some election is on)

The course is set.Over 2100km and 650km competative, with stages ranging from 8 to a massive 87km.Overnight stays at Forbes,Dubbo and Coona then back to forbes and passing thru towns like Condo, Peak Hill,Gwabegar (Pilliga state forest),Gilgandra and Tottenham.
Cars will be part of Coona's 150 year anniversary, on show in the main street on Wed.
Before the welcome function on Sunday night we will be put thru a prologue stage in Forbes, at the showground and trotting track.
The week should be good, tough and fast....
Been getting the Commodore ready, new carby, rebuilt gearbox and new clutch and more extras, Dyno tuned, its all good and nearly ready.
Hav'nt seen enrties yet, I know Andy Crane(surprise, surprise) is going. Im fairly sure Dinta and Kate, Terry Naish/ Ross Runnalls, and Steve Ashton and Ro will be there.

There are still an opportunity to do Myall Stages / Myall Lakes next week. Andy Crane has already indicated he probably do it, and Pinko, here is your chance to do it.

Entries do not close until Monday so you can get your entries in.

Regards
Matt

POSTPONED AGAIN...Double DOH!!!!

Apparently way too wet in the outback, Been rescheduled to NOV 21-27th.

It must suck for the organisers, but man its hard to keep reorganising all accommodations, everyones annual leaves etc...for a week.

End of november; might need to put air/con in the car.

I don't think so. First postponement to October. Then a second delay to November.

See below for a message from the event organisers.

"Hi all, I apologise if I could not get through to you personally yesterday advising on yet another postponement. The heaviest falls recorded in some parts of Central and Western New South Wales over the past 20 years have left most of the Trial’s closed-road competitive sections impassable. And these roads and tracks are not expected to be usable without major damage until well into October.
With all the trophies, decals, caps, polos and other infrastructure produced and trying to dodge other events and obtaining accommodation, this is the earliest date that we are comfortable with.

Again I apologise for the inconvenience with re organising accommodation and holidays etc. however we will have the added advantage of day light savings allowing us to enjoy a better social end of days activities. I trust you will still be able to join us in November.

Yours in motorsport.

PB
