Peter Rogers Real Estate Rally - Bathurst
Dear All,
In speaking with Gwyn Mulholland over the weekend, the CoC for the upcoming Peter Rogers Real Estate State Rally and the Peter Rogers Real Estate Multiclub Rally, he has advised the event is on and will run as planned for Saturday 25th September 2010.
As the event is combined with various championships, there will be two event formats to choose from for competitors. Confirmations with CAMS for permits are underway. At time of conversation the long event will be 11 special stages with 160km competitive and 199km transport, whilst the shorter event will consist of 8 special stages of 115km competitive and 173km transport.
Two shires roads will be included in the event; one being the infamous Hen and Chicken Lane and the other, a 17km shire road through the Limekilns area. Sunny Corner will not be used due to forestry harvesting. At time of posting the roads have a good base. However, synonymous with the area there are the expected drainage humps and accompanying triple cautions throughout the relevant stages.
Gywn is in need of plenty an official, mainly road closures, stage start/stop points, and there are a few Stage Commanders positions to fill as well. If you are not competing Gywn will be most appreciative of your assistance. Gywn may be contacted on 0429 620 769 to register your availability as an official.
Thanks.

Thanks Kim, Couple of minor corrections.
The balance of the event will be held in Sunny Corner however we were severely restricted in the areas available for use and have after extensive survey picked the best roads we could find which will test crews and machinery.
My phone numbers are day 0429620769 and after 6.00 6362076
Thanks GM.

Supp regs should be up anytime. Any registered NSW series competitors that had email addresses that my computer would send to should have received theirs by now. There were addresses that had a problem and those and those without addresses should receive them by snail mail sometime soon.
The regs have been sent to NSWRALLY,BLCC AND BMSC for posting on their respective websites.

Can't wait. Seems like we've been working towards this event for age's. Gav's giving my car a hit-out as 0 at Myall gearing up. Bathurst is the best place in the world, and Sunny Corner sorts out the men from the boys. Just driving into town gets you fired up. Always a big night after the event as well. The town goes off on a Saturday night. Mahony, Davo, Joass will be out of control!!!
Great to see it as Peter Roger's Bathurst Rally- traditional sponsor. Traditional event. Gee, I think Peter Roger's was sponsoring the event in the very early 90's maybe earlier and the event has always got media coverage both broadcast and print- Nighto's are champions in the department.
I'm hyped. Get there!
Only downside is I'll have to listen to Davo 'I don't need proflex- I prefer Billy's' King talk non-stop all weekend about how he put the old 'B' on the podium from 42nd seed in his 1st state round.

Silly question - which event is the excel series doing? I only ask as usually at the bay, we only have to do the short event.
Also, I've never been to a rally in Bathurst before. Where is the presso etc, and is there any places recommended (or not recommended) as far as accommodation goes?

Scrutineering for ACT Series competitors
Dear All,
Regional scrutineering for the ACT Regional Rally Series competitors contesting this event will be held at Total Traction Services, Belconnen, ACT on Wednesday 22nd September 2010 beginning at 6pm and concluding at 8pm. If you are unable to be scrutineered regionally prior to the event, you will be required to attend the event scrutineering on Friday 24th September at Kelso; as documented in the event supplementary regulations.
A timely reminder to competitors on behalf of the scrutineers; please ensure your car is 'clean with fitted competition tyres' and is in 'ready to rally' presentation. This includes extra lighting fitted that you may require for night competition. At a minimum it will show respect to the scrutineers volunteering their time and premises – at best you will comply with the NRC. This reminder is also present in the event supplementary regulations.
Thanks.
Kim Martin

Gwyn,
1) I presume there's little chance we're running the second half of the Mountain like in years past?
2) Can you give an estimate from the itinerary of when Car 1 or 60 will finish the short event etc? Just seeing if it is reasonably possible to make it back to Canberra that night?
Thanks in advance.
Mark

Just for the record Dave, I think the Vic Excels ran the long event at the "Bega Valley Rally" (in Eden) this year. I am not trying to muddy the waters, I promise

If I don't run Cowra I am in for this one! What sort of gear would I need to run? Driving suit and all that stuff needed? Suppose I might actually have to get my CAMS license renewed as well.
