I've got no idea of who I think will win, so I voted for who I want to win, instead.

Simon isn't competing guys. Wants to concentrate on ARC apparently. Anyway, Solberg for mine followed by Marcus and Marko third.

For the win, you can't go past the dominant driver of the last few years - Gronholm. It would be good to see Tommi win in his last year, and to see Burns finally win in a Peugeot. Solberg is an appealing talent also.
I really want to see Subaru Oz cane Toshi Arai and especially Karamjit Singh in a big way.

My bets on Gronholm.
I'd really like to see Carlos win, or Colin, but I don't think it's going to happen. Martin will do well I imagine, and I've got this gut feeling that its time for another mechanical failure on a Subaru, and Solberg will end up DNFing.
Seb Loeb should be in the top 10, and gaining speed on gravel. Burns will be in the hunt, but I don't think will challenge for the outright lead for the event.
And I'd like to see most of the local Group N/ARC punters pound the PWRC regulars into the ground... 'cept for Stig. Stig's cool.
I'm spewing that I'm not gonna be over there... maybe next year.

Carlos always gets a vote, but I'm not so keen on the Citroen (for no good reason).
How about Loeb for WRChampion this year? 5 events left, he's 12 points behind, and 3 of the five events are tarmac. King Carlos to win though.

There's been much discussion in the Guy Brown Hour about such an option... I don't necessarily know if we'd be doing it through the club. More likely just a coordinated bunch of peoples getting together while we're over there.
I'm dead keen to get over to Rally NZ again, but more likely we'll be going to Rally Oz, 'cause I can use the pretence that I'm visiting family. Or Rally Tas/Targa Tas, 'cause the wife (and I) hasn't been to Tassie yet, and is dead keen to go there.
There are a couple of others I'd love to see as well, but I doubt that I'll get to them this decade... Monte, Sweden, Finland, Corsica, Rally Otago, Targa NZ, let alone the non-rally motorsport events.

Yeah that, or booking and travelling as a group, organised by one or more members and *TIC* unofficially ruining the good name of the BMSC in West Australian drinking establishments */TIC*.
Some guys from work did a Gold Coast golf trip in much the same manner last year, planning ahead, paying by instalments and having a week away. Maybe I'll suggest such a thing as an off the record activity at the next meeting? A group of 10 or 20 can still be manageable.

Hey, if you're willing to be the co-ordinator (or one thereof), more power to ya! Sounds good to me. Might be able to use the group interest to get us into places we wouldn't normally get...

Close, but not quite. Or maybe as well. I was actually thinking of getting together an informal group to have a Road Trip up to Parramatta City Raceway for the "World of Outlaws" Sprintcar races in January.
I was actually originally thinking of doing things like Le Mans, Monte Carlo GP, Indianapolis 500, Knoxville Nationals and Daytona 500, but lets talk about those later...
Umm, yeah, Gronholm to win this weekend for sure...

Oh dear people, how can we have such a filthy dirty bogan as president of our beloved rallying club? Just because they don't race on tarmac, and you can get up close to the action, and smell the methanol, and see the mullets, and the ugg boots, and the flannos... Mmmmm the flannos... Lowes $7 flannos... Mmmmm... *Homer Simpson drooly noise* Aaaghhhhhhh....
Where was I going with this again?
Go Marko!!!
