HYLES DATES
The ban on the use of Urriarra and Oakey Creek forests was lifted on the 28th. Forestry's current response to my queries over Hyles is "We have other priorities at the moment". Our dates have been with them since December!
Next real date is Rally of Canberra practice day - 21 April - same format as last year but pace notes allowed. Paul Bennett and I will run a brief course the previous week if we have enough takers.

Hmmmm, could do with some practice before Ulladulla, especially now that the Stanza is safely tucked away in my garage (picked it up tonight).
So when’s the next motokhana/Khanacross so I can fore fill CAMS stupid licensing requirements?

Next Khanacross....
TKM, the next khanacross should be on the 6th of April, although I haven't heard anything back since I sent the stuff off a week ago.... It'll only be one part of the OLT, but I'm sure there's another one sometime soon that you could attend. I'll have alook around at some calendars, and get you some alternatives off-line...

There's a Motorkhana and Khanacross on this coming Saturday at Nowra, if you're interested. CHEAP entry too, BTW (probably $20 all up).

Fro, you're a legend.
Sounds great. I'll be at the LCCC meeting tonight to join up, if you're going to be there I'll talk to you about then.

Joining the LCCC
Mark,
I shouldn't say this, me being a LCCC member and all, but if you're intending on doing the Hyles practice day then you need BMSC membership, LCCC membership doesn't help. In the past you could get away with paying the $10 for joining the BMSC for the day. However, I think this has been done away with so you need $45 (or whatever) to join the them. I got into the same position last year and had to join both clubs as a result, after joining LCCC first then wanting to do a practice day.
Just thought that this might save you some money...
Cheers,
Mark

Sorry, refuse join the BMSC. Guess I'll just go without the practice, I don't take the competition seriously anyway, I just rally for the fun of it.

I am guessing but....
The rule says "BMSC only", but David allows some discretion and will allow non-BMSC boys and girls to play if he feels it is best (ie you're not somebody who slags off at the BMSC publicly...), if you are stopping someone from the BMSC getting a run, if you make up enough numbers to make it worth his time sitting in the forest all day, etc etc.
But I reserve the right to be completely and hopelessly wrong here.
