SKDAC Motorsport Khanacross
SKDAC Motorsport will be running a motorkhana/ khanacross on Sunday 28th March at the Warra Warra Rd complex at South Nowra.
Format will be Motorkhana starting at 10:00 am and the khanacross starting after lunch
You can run just about anything so long as you have seatbelts and a fire extinguisher. Minimum age for drivers is 12 for Motorkhana and 14 for the khanacross.
Cost $30 for the first driver, $20 for the second driver, $10 for the third and $10 for the forth driver per car. Limit of no more than 4 drivers per car. All juniors $10.
For more info you can phone me on 042 1605 714
So get a group together and come up and have a run. Unless of course you are just a bunch of scared little girls.

Can't help but think there's something on that weekend, but don't know what it is at the moment. Anyone else interested in going up for a fang?
What's it take to get to Nowra? 3 hours? More? If people want to drive up there on road tyres we can chuck all the rally tyres in Rupert if you want to chuck $5 in for fuel.

3 hours is about right. A smidgen quicker if you go up Nerriga/Braidwood Rd, but its really variable depending on when it was last graded...
Via Kangaroo Valley is the quickest and reliable.
Well worth the trip, to a 'real' khanacross* - we used to go as often as we could, but all of the suitable s12tboxes have died, so...
*Still can't believe there was talk of "removing trees to make it more khanacross suitable"...

Spac, how many trees are there? Enough for it to be a concern of throwing a road car at them?
I don't imagine it could be much worse the Mini's grounds!

Rowdy, it's even worse when you get one on the second corner of the day
I will say it now, FWD is dirty and wrong. Even more so on dirt!

He's right. The "proper" khanacrosses out at South Nowra are well worth it. I might send the wife along to it for her OLT. I'll be doing the assessment for the stewards licence that weekend, but would be going otherwise.
And the drive down is great, particularly going over the mountain, through the switchbacks...

Don't be nasty, dear, they can't help it if they're scared of being beaten by two girls* in a borrowed car**
*Jen this is an invitation, we need to show these slacker tough boys how it's done at South Nowra
**I reserve the right to be shown up as it is likely I will break Pete's car and have a sheety run all day

'Bout the only thing I'm good at beating (up) at Sth Nowra are the trees
I'm keen to come, but I'm not sure Pete would want me driving his car as well as you (let's face it, the chances of his car being destroyed by an insane female would more than double) and as Spac already pointed out there's a dearth of registered ****boxes at our place at the moment (although, if I put a permit on the 13BT s1 we we could have a lot fun ).

I just discovered my hack car runs out of rego on the 27th
Don't think the daily driver would appreciate the thrashing.
And I'm not stupid enough to throw the rally car at trees the weekend before an event!

Dave, compared to vid #1, Sth Nowra is more trees, lots more tea-tree bushes, lots more dust, much less grass. And a lot more dust.
Best simple description of South Nowra is that its like a mini Canberra rally stage, with less rocks - tight, twisty, sometimes flowing but usually not, and a lot of fun.

And a lot of dust. The "motorkhana" section at the start of the day is amusing... watching people come to a complete stop and waiting for the dust to clear was common occurence on the days I was there.
And the day/night khana's will give you a bit of experience with night driving, which is probably the closest someone's gonna get before their first rally.

Ahh, Spac is such a romantic. You got South Nowra as your first date, what did I get? A mediocre run in the Stanza followed by 4 hours of joy in the pouring rain at Back in the Bog

Actually I think it would rank as an exponential increase. We probably wouldn't even make it to Kiama let alone Nowra

Mwahahaha , that's exactly what we need, Tweets! (A Spacified dirty coast boy sheetbox, rather than a regular strength dirty coast boy sheetbox )
Hmmm... if we get Anna and Mrs Fro down we could psych the boys out. You KNOW we could do it! GRRRRRL!!!!
