North Shore Sporting Car Club have a similar officials pointscore. Details as listed on their website:
Clubman Championship
This is the Club’s premier championship in each year and is designed to recognize the club members who have done the most for the club and its members throughout the year. Competition does not enter into the point score for this championship. For this award, points are earned for attending any social event or competitive event as an official run by North Shore as well as any other club's events to which North Shore is invited or has undertaken to assist in running. Contributing articles for the Club's magazine Wheelspin attending club or committee meetings, directing or assisting with the running of events and general service to the club attract points towards this championship. There is a perpetual trophy for this championship as well as individual trophy for the winner.
BMSC has the Brad Mansfield Club Person of the Year award, but it is awarded by gut feeling rather than being determined by an official pointscore. It may be awarded to someone who has made a significant contribution to the BMSC in that particular year, or in recognition of many years of volunteering.
I quite like the idea of recognising many small but important contributions to the club over a year, like submitting articles for Spokes, however maintaining the pointscore during each year could be quite onerous. Incentive is that the pointscore maintainer would earn valuable points by volunteering to take on this task.
