MAC got a bit of a rap
new motorsport website in 2005 plus request for informationn

Hello,

I am developing a new motorsport website, www.capitalmotorsportnews.com.au
which will be a (free) fortnightly online motorsport magazine, covering events and competitors from south of Sydney, down through the ACT, and all of the S/E corner of NSW.

The first issue is scheduled for 1 February 2005. For those who have met me, I used to have dreadlocks, but will probably go bald trying to get this site happening in time - but that's another story....

The magazine will cover all forms of motorsport -karts, bikes, speedway, and hillclimb as well as rallying and circuit racing.

The magazine will cover event reports and results, but I will also be doing other stories eg local press and motorsport coverage, women in motorsport, why do people volunteer as road closures/flaggies, who is the fastest driver - rally, circuit, speedway blah blah blah.

Please feel free to forward me any information that may/may not be of interest to any other motorsport fan.

As it is, I will be going through these forums requesting information or contacts throughout the rest of this year and into 2005.

Anyway, what I want at present is to find out who is doing what for next years rally season - in terms of rebuilding old cars, building up or buying new cars, new crew, planning an assault on ARC or local series or whatever.

Also, am interested in hearing from anyone who might be prepared to write an ongoing diary of their 2005 motorsport year. Let me know if you can:
a) string a few words together that may be of interest to motorsport fans,
b) get those words to me by a certain date and time, and
c) be prepared to keep the diary going for the whole year if possible.

Would appreciate if you contact me at:
0401 888 719
(h) 6282 9952
(w) 6244 6130
the_cowpokes@yahoo.com.au

so I could then arrange to meet up with you and take a few photos of the project.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Michael (Mac) Carscadden

Gotta hand it to Mac he has good contacts !

He certainly does come recommended from Greg and I as a publicity generating machine.

One certain CT ("Peter Brewer") story prior to ROM 2004 was all his work. The story certainly pleased our sponsors.

Get behind Mac and his Motor Sports website and newsletter . He is very approachable and willing to help in all ways to promote motor sport enthusiasts. If you want to tell your story in an interesting way or to generate some publicity (some publicity is better than no publicity !!) Mac is your man.

I guess with circuit racing they just go round & round & round "looking" for the dirt. When they finally find it, they have to pit, & change tyres cause there's no edge left on the tyre... Then it's back to square one, going around, & around & around...
