Wakefield Park Supersprint - 22nd May 2005
Thornleigh Car Club are once again running their multi-club supersprint at Wakefield on Sunday the 22nd of May 2005. Supp regs to follow closer to the date, but as I’ve got a hand in the organisation this time, I’m just letting everyone know early.
See here for event reports from the 2004 event. We look forward to seeing the yellow Familia and white Starion in action again, though sadly the ‘tyre-smoking’ GT4 will be too far north I hear.
The following clubs will be included on the invite list (along with the usual suspects from Sydney), but please let me know if any others are keen to come along:
Brindabella Motor Sport Club (BMSC)
Light Car Club of Canberra (LCCC)
Shoalhaven & Kiama Districts Auto Club (SKDAC)
Southern District Motorsports Assocation (SDMA)
Rotary Enthusiasts of the ACT (REACT)
Wollongong Sporting Car Club (WSCC)
Closest rallies around this date are Bathurst on 7th May, Kempsey on 28th May, Bathurst AMSAG on 28th/29th May and Bega on 12th June.
What a great way to test your tuning or destroy some worn rally rubber prior to Bega!
Road cars and unregistered khanacross beasts most welcome as well, hope to see some of you there.

Hmm... Are there different noise restrictions at Supersprints? Might have to get the LC ready for that...

Tony, from experience a 2.6 Lancer is quite a bit of fun on the track. Bring it on!
Will have to check the BWB when I get home but you'd want an exhaust of some description - having driven to an exhaust place with just extractors on, the comedy value soon wears off.

Can you double enter? If so you can have a crack in the Lancer if we get it there.

Bog, thanks for the offer!
I'll figure the rally car will come out- I'm hopeful it'll be sorted for the REACT motorK in january.. If not I'll bring down the ute... what the hell! . I don't think I'll be allowed to take the '8 to the track
If I win the 31 Mill on NYE I'll bring my Exige, and my F360 and you can have a drive!

Double entries allowed for sure, we even had a triple entry in a Gemini this year which required some hurried driver and door number changes in pit lane but seemed to work OK.
Just be careful your partner doesn't leave their door number on when it's your turn to get a faster time. My Dad is quite good at doing that.

problem is boys, that I don't have the 65 K to replace her car when I once again discover that my actual talent is much less than I think it is( and we all know I still haven't learnt that lesson, don't we! ..
