2005 Alpine Rally
Planning on heading south and stirring up the Victorians next year with a mate of mine.
Who do I contact to get event details?
Has a date been set yet?
Any info would be appreciated. Trying to pull a few sponsors onboard and need to know what I'm talking about...

Contact Jodi Mann (Event Secretary) on alpinerally@yahoo.com .... but be warned - she's about 8 months pregnant so don't expect too much sense out of her 
Alternatively, ring Stuart Lister (Clerk of Course) on 03 9879 4107 (but dont ring before 1100hrs or he gets REALLY grumpy .....)
Date is not 100% final as yet AFAIK - last part of Vic calendar is still "up in the air" until RoM date is finalised.... but most likely will be November.
Keep an eye on www.hra.org.au over the course of the year - all the info will be there.

Dave whats the go with age limits on cars for the Alpine? can I run my PRC VK commodore in it?

Dunno - regs aren't out yet ! At a guess (but don't hold me to it .. .) I would say maybe pre-1990, 2WD, PRC, n/aspirated ..... maybe pre-81 (plus model run-ons, of course)
Email Jodi Mann at the address above ... she will pass the question on to Stuart (he refuses to own a PC or use email !!  )
Don't forget that it will be a CLOSED TO CLUB event - HRA members only !

Hmm... ROM has been "calendared" on cams.com.au in early September, but rally.com.au still says October 28-30. Any news on which one's right or confirmation of Alpine date yet?

PSR/ROM Dates
I understand NSW and VIC swapped the dates of their GARC events so ROM is now Sept and PSR now Oct. In other words the CAMS Calendar is correct

The NSW and Vic ARC dates, as e-mailed out by Mark Zellner of CAMS with the ARC Registration info last week, are:
2-4 Sep 2005 NGK Rally of Melbourne
28-30 Oct 2005 Bathurst

Dave G where art thou? I got a HRA newsletter the other day which lists the Alpine as the weekend before RdF up here. Is that date now confirmed? Nothing new on hra.org.au lately.
