Degrees of separation.

Everyone knows about "Six degrees of Kevin Bacon" right? The idea is that any Hollywood personality can be linked to Kevin Bacon by six steps or less. I think it was based on the idea that you know every single person in the world by six degrees of seperation.

Eg: You know someone who is married to someone, you works with someone, who is the father of someone who went to school with someone who is Usama bin Laden.
And that this is true for everyone on the planet.

Now we all know that rallying is a tight-knit (read: Inbred) little community, so I was wondering how many degrees of seperation there are...

The Rules.
What counts as a link:
People who have competed together.
People who are related.
People who have serviced for people (wow, I sound like Barbra Streisand!).
People who have had public "relationships".
People who have owned the same car (not just the same type of car).
People who went to school/whatever together.
People who have worked together.

What does NOT count as a link:
People who have had 'secret/unofficial' realtionships (this is not an excuse for muck-raking!).
People who are 'mates'.
People who have won the same event/championship/whatever.


Examples

a) Link Rob Nunn to Spac.
1. Sosi navved for Spac at Caltex 2001.
Sosi will nav for Rub in 2005.
Two degrees of seperation.
or
2. Rob sold his RX-2 to Peter Skinner.
Peter sold the reshelled RX-2 to Bede.
Bede is Jenny's brother.
Jenny and Spac live together.
Four degrees of seperation.

b) Link AJ to Bogan.
Aj nav's for Bede.
Bede is Jenny's brother.
Jenny sold her RX-2 to Jem.
Bog navved for Jem at Tranbell 2003.
4-degrees of seperation.


I'm suspecting that virtually nobody will have more than four degrees of seperation, and most will be at three or four.
Think up examples to prove me wrong, and fill your otherwise dull Friday Forum with some mild mental stimulus.

Bede - did you read the rules? Simply being dirty Lancer owners isn't enough.

Fatty - absolutely - and this is designed to use some of it up.

Bog and Anna - no, you're supposed to be aiming for the minimum number of steps - I reckon you could include about 99% of people who have ever rallied if you were looking for the longest path.
It's like that story about the two brothers who's father's will reads "Whoever has the slowest horse inherits everything".
