SA ARC
Just spoke to Doug Wright who is competing in SA and he holed the radiator on the Proton just near the end of stage 5. Had to pull out but will be back Sunday.
The weather is pretty bad over there and the roads are very slippery.
Some of the photos on rally.com.au are pretty good showing the amount of air that some people got. Have a look at how much Tony Sullens in the GMC Subaru gets. Then look at the after shot.

I've been out there all day, and am about to head down to the Super Special..
I saw Tony Sullens car come back to the service park.. hmm.. messy ain't the word.... Hannafords hump catches another victim. ..
FWIW Sam Brand pulled similar amount of air in his WRX last year and somehow hung onto it... the car was in RWD too at the time...
The conditions ain't great, but they aren't as bad as last year... yet...
but it's still raining outside...
Time to go and rejoin the fun..

Ian Menzies Roll
How bad is the XR6 of menzies? I note from the results that He and Lyndall rolled on stage 3, bit of a bugger, I am sposed to be competing in Townsville with Ian in a fortnight.

Ray, I should have a few..
Factor---- I saw the car tonight... he had it out for a demo run at the Superspecial, it is a little creased but running damn well
Edo won the heat, very tidy effort... the EVO VII looks great up close
Simon Evans hit the wall tonight trying to make up the 3 seconds he was behind Possum..
Possum was fastest tonight-- by about 4 seconds, and was very impressive..
Its been a good day

Any idea how the SARC-only crews went ?
The results on rally.com.au dont include the SARC crews who were only competing on Heat 1.
Just wondering how Darryn Snooks & Dave Johns went on their continuing quest to win 2 state titles (SA & Vic) in 1 year ...... greedy buggers that they are

Thanks for that, I tried ringing Ian, but no answer on mobile. No doubt he will be in the bar tonight.
Speaking of which, I saw a certain Subaru team person in the bar at Caloundra, I dont think I have seen more objectionable behaviour in my short life. Another competitir and I had to stop the certain person committing would would amount to an indictable offence in his inebriated state. You gotta wonder what the rest of the team think. Its not the first time this bloke has played up at a post event function.

Dave,
I think that Darren was either 1st or 2nd of the SARC crews, at the start of the Superspecial, but most of the hot competition was out.. Darren Masters would have given him a good run for his money, but blew a turbo on SS2 I think it was...
but don't quote me on that

Correction... Brett Kipling won the SARC round..
I saw Doug Wright this arvo, another DNF -- he hit an exposed Tree root, and tore one of the front hubs off the car.. rough weekend for him.
Cheers
