2006 TTS ACT Series regs discussion

Ok,<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Last year it was mentioned that the 2006 TTS ACT Series regs would be produced in draft form so they could be commented on prior to the start of the 2006 season.

From comments made, it was understood that a draft set were to be made available for comment at the end of 2005.

After last years heated discussion, do we have a set of regs that can be perused before their release.

Comments from last years regs are contained here.

I'm interested to see the co-efficient list and see who's eligible for Clubman and what the cut-off might be. Not that I'll be doing the whole series but it would be good to know who's too fast now other than Bede.

I would think Mark Kent would probably move up (that was what he was feeling as well).

Does the Clubman winner automatically get the set cut off co-efficent? Or do they get the actually co-efficent and are in gold cup regardless???

The co-efficient list is determined purely on stage times. If you have ever won Clubman, you simply don't qualify, regardless of whether you fall under the cut-off. The perfect example is Geoff Stewart on last years list, he fell for some reason below the magical 0.90 mark, but was ineligible for Clubman as he had won it previously (2001?).

No big changes from last year.

A lot of trivial administrative stuff, like moving the point score stuff that's in the preamble to the point score section in the regs, and changing contact names to reflect the current committee.

Calendar is:
BMSC Captains Flat rally.
Oberon.
LCCC's BRMS.
Bega.
Batemans.
BMSC Clubman round (that's NSW CM).
Ulladulla.
NatCap.
The only event that hasn't been confirmed yet is Bega, but we expect that to be a formality.

Teams award was under-subscribed in 2005, so it won't be sponsored in 2006 (unless someone wants to put their hand up!), and will only continue in 2007 if it is suitably subscribed in 2006.
Stilling Enterprises will instead sponsor an "Encouragment Award" - bascially the driver/co-driver/crew that the Series Committee feels is worthy of special praise/attention for their efforts in the 2006 series.
