That's something else I don't really like about pace noted events, using stages more than once. Sure, some of us Canberrans have to repeat stages just to get a decent distance rally, but if you're doing it just to save time on recce. it spoils the fun. Something like Bega where every stage is different gets my juices flowing more than doing three stages three times and calling that a rally.

How about 5 events, 2 recce passes, 48k (8k x 2stages x 3runs)...
NSW RallySprint Series anyone?*

Yep you will spend more time in a car on the course but you shouldn't need more time away from work or more accomodation than you would require for a non noted event

Sorry can't help you much with that one, I'll lend you a pillow if it helps

Sure, it doesn't seem like that much of an extra stretch, and in theory its all optional, but the reality is that if you want to be competitive (even in your class/peer-group), you'll have to do it if they do.

Fro thats the same with good brake pads, good suspension, good tyres and on and on and on, everything that somebody else has is an advantage
I think thats the "build a bridge" factor

RIGHT - MR MODERATOR (or MS, Miss, Mrs Dr etc etc)
we have this pace note non pace note discussion regularly and it pops up in various threads. Can I make a suggestion - We have a Sticky on the great pace note debate - all commentary on Pace Notes to be entered there and deleted from other threads. I really like keeping abreast of current discussions but I really dont want to read the same stuff over and over again. Which is not to say I dont want to read about the various issues connected with Pace Notes just that I dont want to read them 20 times in 10 different threads.

That'll work, just need to get people to embrace it!
The very reason for my suggestion, the RS series doesn't seem to fill their needs, the events aren't exactly bristling with those eager to develop their PN skills.
The RS series seems to have been totally overlooked in this regard & I might add, introduced as a State series in 1990 ( from memory ) for this very purpose.
It would seem to me that they want to do rallies instead.
As simple as PNing an event has been presented to us, in some areas it creates a whole new set of problems, organisational, logistical & with community relations.

And I don't see them as insignificant. Such is the joy of opinions.
Factor's right. There needs to be some thread consolidation, but that'll take some time and effort. Crawford, I'll look into it.
