I just think that we don't recognise the position of co driver well enough by placing things there that aren't there for drivers. I don't see there being extra loop holes as the requirements still have to be met ie a novice nav could not score points in the novice series if they sit beside Cody Croker as he is not elligible in that series. Seedings are all public knowledge, and info can be easily sort on anyone. Our community is pretty small really and there is always someone out there who knows when someone else is cheating in this world and everyone gets caught in the end.
Just thought I would stand up for some equal rights for the left hand seat.
In the end the nav would have to pay for the drivers registration. Why should that make it OK. I think it is biased against navs that just want to get out and run with whoever they can, but alas, it all comes back to the money again. Thats enough of my recomendations for a fairer system anyway.

I can see a point with what Dave says in that drivers can score points with unregistered co-drivers but not the other way around.
On the other hand (but not strictly related) without wanting to start a poop fight (or a thread split) there's no co-efficient list for co-drivers, and I could have Greg Foletta co-driving for me and we would probably still only finish mid Clubman. Sure it's a team sport in that each member of the crew is essential, but the driver is the one who has the most bearing on the results.

Yeah but Cody in a VR4 would technically be eligable for clubman, which is where the problem would start, novice is easily defined, Clubman is done on your ACT seeding, if you have never competed at an ACT round, then you don't have a co-efficent I am pretty sure, and therefore would still be eligable, someone who knows the rules a bit more intimately might be able to correct my or re-direct me on this, but thats how I understand it.

Cody would not be eligible for clubman as he has had podium finishes in state series events. There is other things that knock you out of clubman and not just your act seeding. If that was the case whats to stop him entering clubman which is why there are other rules.

But you have to admit that having someone of hs knwledge and experience would make you more comfortable to push and not worry if there doing the job properly.

The more on the ball the nav is the harder I tend to push as you really get your confidence that there is no big suprise over the next crest. Also rely a bit on getting confidence in the road book. But when you are continually getting good and acurate calls, I definitely pick the pace up a bit more.

Round 5 of the ACT championship is only a week away and officiating points for Round 4 Bega have yet to appear in the listings. Can this be fixed before the next round swamps the scorers please?

And I got negative rep for my comments about the ACT Series presentation date in the RdF thread. What was it I was saying about time needed to workout the point scores
