If there is no WRC on OZ, Ch10 will rapidly lose interest.

I think you'll find the circle goes the [/B]other[/B] way.

Would this put NZ in danger of losing their WRC round as well if we get punted? After all, NZ is just as hard for teams etc to get to as here, init?
So boys and girls, what can/do/should we do now?

Highly unlikely. The Drivers/Teams love the event & the Governments actually recognise the value of the international exposure, like most other countries that support their respective events.
We are still riding on the crest of the Olympic's, and will do for some time, but what will we do when that wanes, we could have had a WRC for as long as we were prepared to support it, but I reckon there's about a 10% chance that this event will ever return.
By the way, Perth was in intense international focus for the duration of the Americas Cup, so do you think that RA might have been supported to fill the void?

A vexing question, some internal structural changes may be needed first.

Just read a statement in RSM re the calendar meeting for the WRC, Gaz reckons that not having a venue ( or event ) wasn't the reason we are not on for 2007.
Morrie: "So Gazza, where & who is gonna support your WR next year?"
Gazza: " Well, I'm working on so & so & we expected an answer before Easter but the place got blown away by a cyclone & their gonna bulid a dam over the course so we really haven't got a firm committment yet."
Morrie: " Oh,OK. So Mr Portugal what have you got for us?"
