FREE Driver Training - Bay Stages Starters Rally

I know there was already a thread about the Starters, but I didn't want this information to get lost in the other topic.

NSSCC is running a half day driver training day on Sunday afternoon 10th September for all NEW* drivers in the Starters Rally. The training will be FREE OF CHARGE and will be provided by Sideways Action Rally School. Competitors who qualify will need to bring their car to the Figure 8 track at Oran Park. A Nav School (for new nav competitors) is also being considered.

*NEW drivers is defined as people who have never driven in rally conditions before. A common sense approach to this will apply, but will ultimately be up to the organisers discretion.

So, if you know anyone who is keen to try rallying but may not have full rally car, let them know about this. It might just give them the encouragement to give it a go.

So I've done Motorkhana's, a Supersprint and a few Khanacrosses, but never an Actual Rally - Am I eligible? If so, where do I sign??

Do you and I qualify for the drive training day? both of us having done a few starters style events ?

Technically, we have both driven in "rally conditions" so, as much as I'd personally love to be saying yes, Matty, the answer is more likely "no" with a condition of "We'll probably have to wait and see"... with regard to how many new rallyists we have who wish to take up the offer.

The conditions on it are based on discussions with Sideways Action, and considering that they are donating their time and services for the day, we are going to be guided by them as to what we can do. If we only had one or two new rallyists, I'm sure we will be able to work something out for some of us other 'newbies', but I'm actually hoping that's not going to be the case.

The difficulty is in where to draw the line... one rally? Two? Three (but only intro)?...

Was there a MAX field Number ? 15, 20 ??

I hope you get good numbers too and I assume I am totally excluded but if you need numbers I would love to come and can kick some moolar in if need be
