Cath and Phil's new ride...
No...I don't have any photos...but I'm hoping Cath and Phil will be along shortly with some detailed pics of the new car.
This is more of a place marker until they get off their bottoms.

By popular request - here it is. You could've just come out and had a look Ray! After nearly four long months at the paint shop, we have most of it back although the last photo was taken today and is as far as we can go panelwise cause bonnet, rear doors, bumpers and other assorted bits are still at the paintshop. Some other bits are off being anodised etc.

So some of us would love the full story...is it an Aust spec car? Import? Are the bars in front of the radiator factory...or is it some safari spec bull bar action?
Who's is the 7/8/9 in the background...damaged it seems? Is that the donor vehicle or another project?
When does Cath have the debut drive? (I'm assuming it's for her???)

I figure combined light bar + sump guard mounts. Conveniently located to deflect kanaga's? Maybe it picks up a sway bar mount too? |

My guess is that they are the front bumper / driving light bar / sump shield mounts (all tied together for strength).

The 'spikes' coming off the front are for the light bar (same as Richards).
Not as familiar with the sump guard mounting, but they look like it.

It's an import that has been sitting under our pergola for about 12 months before we started doing anything with it. We bought it from Japan just after Richard bought the old car. We were actually looking for an EVO6 but Masu found this 8 for the right price.
The bars at the front are like Matty T said (I think)

And like Paul said the EVO7 was the one that Masu rolled at RoC - It will just live there until we (Phill) get around to fixing it. Although Masu is curently amassing parts in Japan for both the 7 & 8. We also have another EVO7 here that belongs to Mikami that will be going back to Japan at some stage.
As for the debut - well I am hoping that Phill will drive it first and we will just share it although he has plans for a classic. We were hoping to do the BRM but a call to the paintshop and the answer was - "Oh do we have your doors, bonnet, bumpers etc? So it will probably be LCCC's 2 day event!
Oh - its yellow and not citric acid like Richards car - some of the photos appear that way though!
