I should probably update this....Off to Rego on this Thursday followed by straight out to Reliance for the Pre-Logbook Inspection. Fingers crossed. It's got the stock exhaust on, it's clean, quiet and got no leaks that I can see. What could possibly go wrong?
We did some photos two weekends ago with my next door neighbours, Rob and Leanne from Fusion Painting, that did the paintjob, as part of their submission for the Dulux Painter of the Year (hence the door plates ) so here's a few.
Biggest problem we found was: starting the car. The spark plugs leads have deteroriated pretty badly in the last year or two and the car was running on about 1 1/2 cylinders before we replaced the leads with the spare set. The internal resistance of the old leads was around 5 to 10 times the spare set. Just something to remember if you haven't run the car for a while!
Hopefully, if Rego goes well it will be time for a reliability run out Tharwa way on tarmac this weekend then into Frinky's shed next week to get rid of the standard intake and the like with something that flows a bit better. Then aim to organise a test day for mid-September and see if we're ready for the Giro at the end of September.
Mark

It looks far to clean and shiny for a car of yours...
