There were a few early Colts down at the big wreckers south of Cooma last time I was there.

for the older mitsubishi owner
and interesting point i found out is that Mitsubishi made Boats(not poor handleing cars), this may explain a few handleing problems

i'm getting worried now
on one hand they build boats and the other hand they build things to hit boats(ships as not to offend).
on the up side their isn't many boats in the forest to hit(maybee the odd "i roll" )

Neat!
Looking good.
What have you got left to get it to a rally?

BIGger bank balance
the cage gets in the way of the harness bar in the back so i have to have it moved.
get some harnesses for it, not steal them from the other cars(note nessys seat, the black one, don't tell)
and generally tidy it up, been slow with holidays and 3 kids but got a bit busy over the weekend and did a few things. needs fire stuff, bit of paint here and there. it also has a oil weep at the timming cover that needs some love and the batery mount is showing it 38yrs of life and also needs some love
not sure on how healthy the alternator/battery is as spots on and he stuggles to run. but then again they don't run many night rallys anymore so....

the roll cage dosent meet CAMS standards.
bad welds in a few spots(most)
wrong sized tubing, and poorly built, missing a few obvious plates on the feet(mountings to car see pic above).
Looks like it has to be done again.........from scratch.
my Question is how does it get a log book and a CAMS sticker on the cage if it doesn't comply with the standard.
Looks like i'm going to be an offical for another year!
do you guys think it is worth contacting CAMS about the cage Builder who made this and has made few other cages.
Mighty pissed off
MATT
