Lost/stolen Volvo wheels and jerry cans.
Sometime between the time Matt got back to the Bega RSL club and when we woke up at Tathra this morning, somebody took my spare wheels and two jerry cans from the back of a silver Navara ute.
Four of the wheels are genuine Volvo alloys. 15x6, made in Germany. Two were fitted with fairly worn 205/65 MRF ZDM3 rally tyres, the other two were fitted with even more worn 205/65 Pirelli rally tyres.
The fifth wheel was a standard XD/XE era Falcon 'sports' steelie - 14x6 with a nearly new 225/60 or 225/65 Supercat tyre.
The jerry cans were red plastic Willow brand ones, with yellow lids. One had a yellow plastic nozzle (the other one had a broken strap, so the nozzle was lost long ago).
I'm kinda inclined to think that they weren't stolen - who-ever took them left a full jerry can, and all of my tools, but went to considerable effort to get to the Volvo wheels. I'm thinking that maybe a half-pissed service crew member may have been instructed to "get the wheels out of the back of the ute" and got the wrong ute....
In any case, I want them back - without them, making Forster is going to be much harder.
$100 reward, no questions asked.
04000 23847 if you can help.

Spac,
You know those wheels will be on the way to Sweden now, there's a big trade on the black market over there for used Volvo wheels. Especially ones used by you.
I may have a few Ovlov rims floating around here if you need them, plus an engine waiting for you to pick it up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
I need the room for all my new Charade's

I'll keep an eye out for your wheels down here Spac.
I'm sure whoever scored that booty wouldn't be able to help themselves and would have to brag about it at the pub....
Hehehe or the tip....

Well it wasnt what we wanted to hear on our trip home today, At 5.30am this morning, I thought it was strange but didnt think much of it, just thought that Spac and porned them off at the RSL hall to get more beer
Please if someone knows anything about these missing items, let Spac know, Lisi will be very very dissapointed if she cant compete at Forster Classics

Sorry to hear that that this has happened Spac - bad ending to a great weekends rallying.
Fingers crossed it will just prove to have been a mistake made by someone grabbing the wrong gear and you'll have them back as soon as someone realises their mistake.

When I got back to my car after the presentation, all of the straps that stop my wheels sliding on the tyre rack had been removed. It was clear that someone had planned to "lift" the wheels, until they noticed the padlock.
Getting ripped off twice in 2 rallies would have been seriously bad kharma....someone lifted an intercooler from my service ute at Lithgow.

I can't remember who it was now( yes I can it was Rob Inall I think) but somebody a few years back had all their tools and tyres lifted but after some delicate questioning at the pub they were "found" at a house in Bega when 5 or 6 searchers banged on the door

thats right I couldn't remember Ari was somewhere else
perhaps this is where I should indelicately mention that I still have my old " Fully lockable" Transit available for sale but I wouldn't be so bold.

Yep and it probably helped that at least one of the searchers was the size of Graeme Jesse

I have let my parents and sister know too as they live in Kalaru and Tathra. My sister works at the Tathra Bowling Club, so she may hear something. Here's hoping anyway!!!
