4-speed heavy duty synchromesh Quaife gearbox with alloy maincase to fit Ford Escort models, as a replacement for the standard Ford Type E gearbox (std Australian manual gearbox).

This Ford Rocket (Type E) 4-speed heavy duty synchromesh Quaife gearbox comes with the optional alloy maincase and straight cut gears, in close ratios.

The layshaft of this gearbox is assembled using separate gears and includes a Quaife mainshaft as a replacement for the standard Ford shaft.

2.040, 1.540, 1.210, 1:1 Race Ratio's Only 1500rpm drop between gears.

Comes complete, with alloy top cover, Quick shift and lever, and and some spares

Gearbox used only on weekends(in escort race car), and has done few km's. Only 2 races done since last rebuilt. Only selling gearbox as race car is getting an SR20 in place of the YB.
