WANTED: Wheel Nuts for TRX rims
Hello all
I'm sure someone out there has some of these. You Datsun guys know what I'm on about. I need a full set of 16 of these wheel nuts that the TRX rims require.
The daughter of the girlfriend of my boss at work has a Bluebird that currently is using standard mag nuts! Apparently the nuts are hanging on by the proverbial, so we need the real nuts as a matter of urgency.
Any assistance appreciated.
Oh, and she bent a rim by riding a kerb, and the spare apparently leaks air through the rim. So if anyone is willing to part with 2 x TRX rims, that would be a bonus. I hope she was sideways (intentionally) when it happened, but I doubt it... :-)
Thanks,
Ben.

After the wheel fell off the first time, I went to proper Nissan wheel nuts.
And was pleasantly surprised. The dude at Lennocks reckoned that the TRX nuts were the same as ET Pulsar, and while TRX nuts were listed at $8.90 each, the ET Pulsar ones were only $2.70, which suited me fine. I stocked up on them. The EWT Pulsar ones are 2mm shorter, and matt black, but otherwise identical.
Part Number - N40224V9810, NS Nut-Road Wheel.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Fro - you're rapidly becoming an Aussie Legend.
(Do you have any month old children to dangle in front of your 180B on the outside of a hairpin corner?)
Since Steve Irwin looks like he has blown his chance for Australian of the Year, maybe we can nominate you?
Any chance of 2 x TRX rims? I thought you had a stockpile at one stage (that's what the US Government told me) but maybe you are denying it (hello Sadam!).

Sorry to hijack your thread Ben....but,
I thought at last discussion, the best plan of attack with the later TRX rims was to knock out the little insert lip-thingy inside the stud hole, and then use 'normal' long mag wheel nuts?
(As per Matty T's setup?)
No

No, you still need to use the TRX wheel nuts.
After some discussion with Fro, which involved some pointing, staring into wheel stud holes, and wheel comparisons, we have come to the conclusion that Fro was using the "right" TRX wheels.
I think that I am going to have to go back to the drawing board...

I've got a bit of a stockpile, but I'm trying to keep it from the inspectors eyes.
Until I get some replacements (R30 &/or R31 Skyline &/or S13), I'll have to hang on to all the ones that I can. I've destroyed one every two rallies on average...
www.ozdat.com is a good place to look for some new ones. There's usually some on sale there.
