probhably a whole lot more I have forgotten but you get the idea, this is no ordinary rolla , lots of fun to drive, currently street registered to July 05

I fully realise I will never get the money back I have spent on this car, but dont think im stupid enough to let it go for nicks, but buying this car shortcuts a s*itload of money and will get you into a competitive vehicle straight away. Its not the quickest in a straight line but it will sure as hell out handle 90% of the competitiors and throttle response is insane, not to mention the sound which will bring a smile to the face every time

dont ask me what I want for it, I have no idea.. no really I dont!! but if an offer is forthcoming that seems somewhere reasonable to me then i will most likely sell, dont bother asking a million questions here, if you are genuinely interested and have the finance then send me a PM at Toymods.org.au and organise to come and see the car.

this car was inteded to be the one car i finished, all thats needed from its current config (with all parts fitted) is paint and flares, i can give the photoshop for the colours I have picked to the purchaser if they are interested, flares have allready been priced.

pics can be viewed here....

Is this PRC legal? I thought not, but your references to "competitors" makes me wonder...

I know about the 4AC powered AE70s (or is it AE71?), but have never heard of a factory fitted/homologated 4AGE in the KE70 body shape.

There was some talk about it being legal due to the AE71 sharing main body components with the homologated AE86. One of the NSW guys (Johnny) with the 20v AE101 had it all nutted out. I cant find the thread on it anymore though, sadly, would have been a good read.

Sadly, no.

I recall doing a search for homologation papers several years ago, without success.

I don't think Toyota ever produced a 4AGE-powered version of this body shell. Ironically, they did produce a 2TG-powered version.

Given that the only body component shared with the AE86 was the floorpan, it would take some exceptionally creative argument to suggest a 4AGE-powered KE70/AE71 was PRC-legal. (I realise that Ford homologated the Mark 2 Escort as an evolution of the Mark 1, where the main shared component was the floorpan, but at least it was factory homologated.)

Given that there's talk of flares it's probably not a PRC car, and you'd have to carefully look at the following:

There's no mention of a log book so the cage would need to be the right spec. to get a log book to go rallying. Harnesses are also an issue then as you'd have to have the appropriate mounting points etc. I wonder if it's still got the back seat?

Maybe it's more for super sprints, hill climbs, roundy round or even street stuff because there is talk about

No, its not homologated for rally, and cant be in its current form for more reasons than just the engine but thats by the by, the car was built for rallysprint, motorkhana and hillclimb, all of which you can be classed in although some classes would make you pretty much uncompetitive.

Exclamation NEED POWER !

Hey, I just bought my first Toyota, 1981 KE70 4k engine (1.3) and I was big into drifting untill I wrecked my Nissan S-14a Silvia (SLOW BMW) and I'm starting to get back into drifting, I got this car for 900 British Pounds and its got very very low miles and is absolutly mint.
I need to squeeze some power out of this little 1.3 cause I have to drift in the rain because it's not powerful enough to break it loose in the dry.
If anyone knows anysites or people selling suspension, carbs,or whatever to help me get more power i would really appreciate it.

Thanks,

Rush
