Smee....don't make me angrier.
I like to think that I help out plenty....I contacted people with regards to the event, oganised for the distribution of fliers around Captains Flat, and assist anyway that I can. I try to help out whenever I can, with all events, no matter who they are run by. And I really wanted to run that event.
Really.
I think I'm one of the few people that would recognise the efforts that Fi and you and all the officials had put in to the event, but...
There comes a point when I say
NO! I don't want to sit out in the forest by myself for a few hours. I don't feel like doing that. Why? So I can think about how I ****ed up my chances to be out there competing?
So just back up and think before you start trying to hammer me for not helping out. Like I've said in company before, we need to spread the load, instead of relying on the same old people everytime to help out and take up the slack.
This time, Fro took some time out for Fro. And I needed it. Had I been in a better frame of mind, I would have gladly helped out. But not this time.
Besides which, I'd like to think I was legitimately helping Jen servicing...it wasn't like there was 4 people for the car. Jen had Tim and I. There wasn't much overlap in service times between the three Austins, and as it turned out, the one problem Jen actually had it was good to have two people there.
There was a shortage of service personnel available anyway. just ask Spac, or Brett, or anyone else...

We were 3 road closures short on the Lowden Stage.......
What was it with people being unable to help. The event uses less road closures than any other event, and we still had troubles.

Yeah... isn't it always the way though? I think that there has been a sudden increase in the amount of people getting off their asses and getting cars ready. Yes, it could have done with more people helping, and less service crew kinda people... But hindsight is a wonderful thing.
Edited by fro, 'cause I was beign pretty harsh on smee...borderline psychotic is probably an apt description.
