and 11th us
It was a great rally well organised, servicing from the BP was great,
Yep a little dusty in places but not worse then Oberon.
I went into the rally with an intent on finishing without blowing up a rear tyre, so it ment i wasnt attacking as much, and it worked, Nothing really out of the ordinary to report except for me falling asleep during SS4 and 5, Once the V kicked in i was feeling better.
I was running a couple of seconds a k slower then i have been and it showed in the times, but i will rectafy that at the Safari which is the Sprinters next outing.
now to get the Excel ready for Bega then a much needed rally break until the Safari.
Ben.

Gee I mustof done a diffrent rally SS1 Rough and unpleasent . I have seen better roads in tank proving grounds. SS2 not any diffrent.SS 3 much better but not a patch on RMV last month. SS4 also not bad .
I was really happy when the geargox cryed enough. THankfully I had a reason not to destroy a lovely car and my back on the repeat on SS1&2 again.
It is a real shame as KSCC is made up of the best group of people you could ever meet & I have competed at kemsey many time although not for a few years. I will not be rushing back if they run those roads again

Roughness is all relative.
Compared to Canberra... the Clybucca roads were smooth. If Oberon is a 10 on a roughness scale, then Canberra would be an 8.... Clybucca is about a 4.
It was a little powdery in places, but all up they were great rally roads I thought. The only issue at the event was the course checker Sosi did a terrible job.
Gemini's are great rally cars. No power, no traction, no feel or feedback... it's just a case of tip them in and hope you come out the other side. Thank god for Datsuns.

whatever you reckon Jme. BTW, I like he does not mention in his report about the small excursion the car he was in at the last speccy point!!
Anyway, from my perspective, all was good and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves, if it was rough or smooth.

Troy,
Don;t feel bad mate!, most of the younger punters don't really know what good roads are. I think we got spoilt in the early days when forestry would grade and they actually had some moisture to pack the roads down.
Most of the rallying I have done in the last 10 years has been the same.... what used to be the ducks guts is now geez what are we doing here! .
Lithgow was much the same I thought, its not anyones fault really just the set of circumstances we now operate with and a lack of available roads. Probably the best event I have done recently in this regard was the Ceberus In VIC.
I am hopeful that Great Lakes will be better cos you know the TR's are not known for thier ability on the rough.
Hope alls well with the car

I agree.
Great event.
The fast straight in SS1 alone was worth worth the price of admission. Not as fast as Sherwood Rd at Coffs, but being so narrow it seems so much quicker.
Unfortunately for us Mitch's gearbox cried "Enough!" on SS5. But you gotta look at the positives... At least we got to spectate from both inside and outside the car at the same event! Both Quinn's and Pinko's cars sounded fantastic.
Good to see some old technology triumph into second outright.

Shab and I headed up to Clybucca to do some officialling on the weekend - a bit dissappointed not to be running , but had a good time anyway doing the finish control on SS1 and SS5 . It is always interesting being on the other side, so to speak, and very funny listening to everyone's varying descriptions of road surfaces, conditions etc. The only drama we had was a generator that didn't want to play - thank goodness we packed a torch ! It would appear that all in all everyone enjoyed the event - well done to the organisers and to everyone who finished.

And some lunatic who was pretty keen to enter stage after 000 went through on stage 1. Some pretty colourfull language from him and his feral wife ( great role models for the kids in the back ). With him on his way we had a really good day and night, good to catch up with a few at stage end and at the club. Does anyone know what happened to Adam Grove?

Don't worry some lunatic did get into stage 2. We followed in his dust for a couple of kay at the end. As we came through the timing marker he was going past the control. Apparently the talk of guns let you do what you want. Feel sorry for the road closure people for having to be put in that position.
Thanks to all the officials.
