Tomerong State Forest (near Nowra/Huskisson) Rally

Thanks to all the organsiser and officals especially Pete and Lizzy.

Sorry we had to leave early and miss the BBBQ, but we had other committments.

What a fun event. We had sun, we had rain, we had steam, we had jumps... oh and more jumps.

Absolutely loved that tight twisty bit up the back.

Great to see Zoey have here first official run and congrats to Adam C for a well earned win over Matt Amos.

Thanks again
Damien

Thanks to all the official who stood there ground come sun/heat/rain/steam.

All the people who kindly entertained my children, while Lizzy and myself ran around at the back of the field as sweep vehicle.

Thanks to Lizzy for the ride and all the organisation, to pete as well for all his work.

And thanks to SPOT for getting around the course all day.

I will be back, so bring it on and i'll have my gemini down there for the next one.

Matt

I had a bloody ball at this little event, once again had the esky all set to go, and being so close i simply drove down and back no need for a car trailer for this evnet only 20mins to an event....how good is that!!!!

Anyway got there early and helped set up, being only 9 cars meant there was plenty of time to sit and chat and also get reayd easily. I was also naving for mick in the evo so was looking forward to that as well.

The stage was a 7km stage that looped back on itself perfect for short transports and central service was awesome (especially coz my g/f nelle had my car so i could leave my spares and stuff on the ground and in stuys car )

ok Stage 1 Naving: Was a fun little blat with mick.....proflex is cheating......ok im just jealous , was a fun way to look at the course before i had a crack at it in the esky as well! i think we were 3rd on the first stage behind matty amos and adam casmiri

Stage 1 Driving: After just having had a run in the Evo i kinda had an idea where the road was goin i was able to have a good crack at it fromthe get go....good thing i raised the front of the esky and inch during the week was well worth it, there was a sheet load of drainage humps that made life inetersting...finished the stage with a good time i thought, plus no damage to the car.

Then the rains came....is poured for about 30mins and made everything slippery
Mick decided to pack up early coz of the rain, so i was just able to focus on driving...

Stage 2: in the wet and slippery was so much fun!!!!! i had a bloody ball, was 90secs slower on my first pass but meh goin sideways just coz is more than worth it lol, plus to get to the end and pete to say that was a half decent time was encouraging....i do admit there was a "moment" i had where i understeered in a small tree

Stage 3: first of the reverse stages, and the stage was way different, especially when i didnt hear stuy right and hit a hump way to quick....sorry dude, scared the bejeebus out of me to! , rest of the stage was pretty good, was still shaken from my aerial adventure

stage 4: so much funnerer, backed off for the humps (prob more than i should have) but had fun right till the end!

I think we ended up 6th? cant remeber properly but didnt mind where we finshed i just had a ball getting there!!!

Huge huge thanks to stuy for naving again for me, for a full time driver he does a damn good job from the nav seat, cheers dude!!!! I always have a ball with ya....bring on the alpine!!!!

Huge thanks to all the SKDAC crew for such an awesome event cant wait to do it again next year was a blast!!!!

And last but definatly not least to nelle for coming and supporting me and stuy, getting more interested in rallying by the week, and just being amazing...love you baby

cant wait ot get out in the forest again reallllllly soon!!!!! hoot:

Matt Mead has some part of a clue
wow what a great event, what an awesome little 7kg stage... i jumped in the nav seat for butch in the datto stanza. We ended up finishing 3rd out of the 8 entrys behind the 2 evos... firstly id like to say that i think butchs car is the most well presented rally car i have seen...the thing looks brand new... i felt bad resting my dirty shoes on the foot rest...

secondnly thanks to butch for the run, was great fun and thridly thanks to SKDAC for pulling of an amazing little event.
