Geoff Portman / Steuart Snooks are a DNS this morning, as they were unable to fix the Commodore's engine after its media day mishap yesterday.

Therefore Brian Semmens / Dan Parry are now first car on the road, with Kari / Tim car 2 on the road.

Gerald Schofield / John Moore also had engine problems in the Escort yesterday at the media day, but don't know if they were able to make the event start this morning.

Oh thats ashame about Geoff! Does anybody know if there is a results site for the alpine like there was for natcap the other week?

It's not a 'live' results website in the sense of the NatCap results site, but they are posting results after the end of each Division. Details from Gary Hodgskiss, the Alpine results guru, are:

We are planning to have unofficial scores from the Alpine Rally available on a division-by-division basis on the
www.alpinerally.org.au website during the event. The scores should be available at these rough approximate times:

Division 1 - 5:00pm Saturday
Division 2 - 9:30pm Saturday
Division 3 - 8:00am Sunday
Division 4 - 5:30pm Sunday

Printouts will be available from the scoring table any time as per usual.

Yeah Rus said they going to change the oil and it will hopefully do the trick. They are pretty sure its nothing mechanical. Well fingers crossed anyway!

Kari and Tim were down on power after the 1st stage - found they had 5 broken valve springs. Rob Devenish was kind enough to lend them 5 new competition valve springs which they have just replaced at the evening mealbreak. They are pretty surprised to be only 1 min, 33 secs down on the leader, given they've only had one unaffected stage so far. Bring on the tarmac and the remaining night stages!
