Took the taxi out for a run in the FFCC Novice Rally Sat nite .... basically 90-oddkms of RoM roads in the Toolangi Forest.
Great idea ... except it rained .... A LOT !!
All was fine & dandy till I discovered that stopping a tonne & a half of sideways Swedish steel downhill on slimy red clay is slightly beyond my limited driving capabilities - especially when the track is narrower than the car is long

.... see picture.
Why is there always a FBT (f$#%ing big tree) just where you don't need one ?
Still, we had fun & didn't come last (17th out of 26).
Maybe I should stick to co-driving
The only really annoying thing is that I only bought the genuine ex-works Cibies (the only remaining bits of one of the factory Honda Civics from the 73 Cross, apparently) on Thursday night

PS : See last page of latest ARN for a picture of my usual ride in "Super Corolla" .... yeeee - hah !!
