PCYC Night Stages Rally
Fresh from the results board at the finish last night.
It was a great rally, good roads, well organised.
Thanks to all the officials who stood out in the cold. A special thanks to the guys at the SOS point in SS1 for helping us attempt to unbeach the celica.

The Event to remember NOT!!!!!
Transport to stage 1,
Tripmeter was reading in chineses (or some language like that)
reste it numerous times, and seemd to be working proper now.
Stage 1,
60sec to stage and trip meter (again) being hard to get on with, 5sec to start and ONLY THEN it seemed to work but had lost cofidence TOTALLY, always waiting for it to play up,,,,,the car was very unpredicatable...... past numerous cars mostly stopped, Celica playing in the mud, a Subaru that was having a bbq, 180b with a few elec probs, by the end of the stage . not feeling too good at all........
Stage 2,
the car was still very unpredicatable......unsure why..... but by the end i was the first person outa the car........ (thanks for the bread by the way....)
Stage 3,
the car was still very unpredicatable......... a few close ones there too.....
Stage 4,
Suprisingly the car went ALOT better with heaps less air in the black round things,,,,, Matt had a good run and we were actually stating to enjoy our selfs, even though i ounly made 8 calls for the whole stage.....(still not feeling to well)
Stage 5
Still only made 6 calls, (still not feeling to well) Specie point would have been a good one, Would love too see some pics if ony one has any.
AND we saw some air at the end of SS5
FINISH.
First beer, Roast ham roll..........Feeling ALOT better now.....

Got photos of most cars, but due to shooting in pitch black, could only make use of a few.

Got home at 9.30pm tonight from Port. Firstly big thanks from the Club to all the officials who stood out in the forests so we could all have some fun doing slippery skids in the bush. I even got to slide the 3.0L Outback around a couple stages. Thank goodness for ABS & ASC. Will have to have a look in handbook to see what it means when the 'little orange lit car is doing skids' on the dash display comes on.(Saw that more than once) Firstly I must personally thank Chris Cherry for all his help with the officials & Matt for his sterling job doing the Event Sec job and Fast sweep duties. Also thanks to Mick Ryan for being the Checker & to Brendan Reeves for flying into Port Macquarie from interstate just to do Course car duties for us. I hear he had a ball driving the LHD unrestricted Rexie. We would also like to thank Mike Cherry & his daughter, Mark Bramble & Michael Bannon, Molly & Coral for their help in the 000/00/0 cars to make the event the great success that it was. Great to finally beat the weather gods at their own game. And last but not least, thanks to all the competitors who took a chance on Pacific Rainmakers Club beating our hoodoo with the weather to come for a run.
In the heat of compiling the results on the night we missed that even though SS1 was cancelled/neutralised, due to Peter Neal's unfortunate rollover which blocked the stage whilst the fire from the gearbox oil on the turbo was extinguished holding up approx 7 crews, Wayne Hoy had run out of late time to make the start of SS2, so he has been removed from the results. So I have attached a copy of the outright results. The individual stage, series and class results will be posted on here and in the mail as soon as Stu finishes the files and sends them to me tommorrow.
I also picked up a cibie pod lense intact in one of the stages so if you have lost one and can tell me where you think you lost it send me a PM.
Richard

We have just received a complaint about the cancelling of SS1 from a competitor concerning the NRC regulations for time allocation. I don't know if it will effect the results, so until this is resolved I will hold off posting the complete results.
