Probably some of that great meat that nighto supplied giving the extra lift.
I know after a couple of those mexian sausages, i could have lifted a lighter man out of his seat. And they were tastey to boot.
Your a bad man nighto, those steaks and Sausages were too nice, You shop is tooo far to travel to get my meat supplies

A cool little event.
For me it was the first time after the rebuild of the RX7 and a whole heap of unknowns. A few days before I got the car UVP'd and on the road for the first time in 3ish years. All went well other than full take off when it reached 3rd gear it would splutter and be low on power.
After changing the primary pump checking the fuel filter and a few other things I was still unsure what it was? Thankfully that morning SPAC dropped in to see how we were and how the car was. I am very thankful he did as a few things I did not know about the car were installed wrong or I had just koked up .
Just before Wes and I left for the event Spac yelled out,
What about the fuel cap!
UMM yeah what about it??
Is it a jap type or Aus filler cap?
Huh??
Well the fuel issue turned out to be that the new tank required the filler cap to be a breathable type(Jap), and the old cap(Aus) was a sealed type causing the pumps to suck all availabe fuel and pressure. After a quick swap with the Silvia cap all was good again and endles power was at hand
Stage 1
I had no idea what to expect and how to drive the thing. well the first few kms was rather slow and had heaps of understeer and poor gear changes. All seemed fine until we hit one of the humps (not that fast I must add) and the rear end kicked up in the air. All we could see was dirt for a split second then followed by a large bang as we landed back down. The rest of the stage was rather slow. Bit of a bumer to see Adam's car on its lid, bad luck guys.
Jump
Stage 2
Waiting for Dean and Ryan to get back, car 2 pulls up, waiting, waiting then another and another?? we then got the message that Dean had put the back into a tree and was out. Later on we found they had hit front on and spun around. A quick scout/shout and I had a stand in nav, Thanks Clinton for offering Clydes skills
Off we went and once again slow but steady enough.
Stage 3
After recovering Deans car and stage change, it was back into it. Lizzy came up with a few options for navs as Ryan was a little, well very shaken up, but in the end Ryan jumped back in. We pulled up to the start to hear "Stop the cars"!!! First reports were Butch had rolled, then hit somthing. Turned out he had sideswipped his doors and almost rolled but all was good. Shortly after back into it, and this time the car was feeling better and I felt more confident.
Stage 4
Nothing wrong and all felt good. Running down the fast tight straight was a blast but at the same time was one of the most scairy moments as a driver. Reason is the rear shocks are old and not all that good and 140Killer Wasps ATW makes for running close to the edge of crashing very possible. It is amasing in 4th gear the car feels like the Datto in 2nd gear. Straight line speed is awesome.
A few thankyou's,
All that helped organise and run the event
Michelle, Wes, Adam, putting up with another rally
Dean, Ryan and Hillary Price, for the belts and other help and Nav job
Pete, Lizzy for assistance during the event in regards to Navs
Spac, for the car and advice
Dave Roberts
Mr the King (Corty) kids for keeping Wes entertained, gota love the dirt throwing between them
Clyde Green for the stand in Nav job.
If you look at the middle of the dash I have fitted 2 lights after a request from my Bonnie Doon footage to had on screen telemetry. The left one (what should be Orange) is for full throttle, and not on very often as it has so much power. The right one (and what should be Red) is the brake. The other above is always on, ummm oil pressure, Umm I dunno
Last Stage near the end.9

Marcus and Baylee thanks Wes as well, they had a great day and want to know when they can both can come to a rally and play with Wes.
On the other hand my shower and washing machine may take a few months to recover from the dust

They both have contract available. If anyone are looking for Navs or Driving stadard advisers.
I am sure we can get 4 correct calls out one of them, and there light weight as well. And even better don't drink(except juice).
Actually at this stage, Marcus has his Eye on a go kart when he is 6yr old and it had to be RED. Baylee just wants a puppy.
Matt

Well done to the organisers on a great little event!!
It wasn't a very good day for my sister and I in car 3.... first off the car didnt want to come off the trailer, after changing some spark plugs it got going.. We started the 1st stage and everything was working well until i heard a noise at the front, after we had passed the second speccy point, then everything started to go wrong! Came to the fast RGR clearing on left in fourth gear, went to brake for the corner and go down a gear, but no brakes!! I tried to slow up the car with the hand brake, but it didn't work very well, we stepped sideways and clipped the bank with the right hand front wheel and over we went.. We landed on our roof facing where we came from, i don't know how many times we went over, but my nav ran up the wrong direction to slow the cars down!! As the car was on its roof i saw that the Left hand front drive shaft had broken and took out the brake line..
We are both bruised but the nav alot more than the driver.
Thanks to Darren Gillis and his team of men that put the car back on its wheels and towed it out of the stage.
Thanks to everyone that called to see if we were ok.
Adam. P.S see you all at Myall or Bay!!

Tomerong
Thanks to everyone who has called and messaged me to see if I am ok.
Adam and I have survived the roll over - I am a bit sore with bruised/fractured ribs. The hospital did a cat scan and yes I do still have a brain - although when the lady who was doing the scan asked me if I would get into the car again and I said 'Yeah - I would be in the car right now if this damn head ache and rib pain would go away!!!' - I am sure she was thinking that I really didn't have a brain at all!!!!!!!!
The reason I was really cranky was that Tomerong was meant to be my first rally as a DRIVER but because Adam and I rolled on the first stage I missed out on my drive - oh well!!!! Poor Adam felt bad that I had to go to hospital and that I didn't get to have a drive so I will try not to rub it in too much....
Thank you to all the organisers and officials - especially Pete and Lizzy - it was a great event and I will be back next year. Congrats to Rick on winning the event.
Adam and I will be back for Myall or the Bay - if I am ok I might even Nav for Dad in Canberra...
Adriana

thanks to everyone for a great day, had a blast
after the crash at lithgow i couldnt wait to get back into the car, but i started off stage one a bit dogdgy and the trees on the side of the road seemed a bit scarier than normal. but about half way through stage one i got into it and could actually call the notes properly again.
first stage of me driving was a bit slow, ok it was very slow but i didn't want to hurt dad's car
the day just got better and better as it went on and i took a whole minute off my times by the end of the day
thanks to dad for lettin us borrow the car, to pete and lizzy for running a great event, to dave for telling me to stop driving like i was going to get the groceries and to matt for being brave enough to get in the car with me and nav and also for being my driving instructor telling me what gear to be in, when to brake and when to 'put your bloody foot down'
ive decided that as much as i enjoy driving i think i trust matts driving alot more than i trust my own, so i think i might stick to being a nav for now
