Forest rally 2009
Well after doing my first gravel rally, first time navigating & first time writing notes it was a brilliant event. Took a bit of getting used to but a stage or two in and it was flowing well. We ended up winning 2wd in Heat 1 by 0.1 of a second and won the clubman cup by over three seconds (decided on the last superspecial stage!). Apparently I should have won the Rookie award aswell except I didn't know I was a Rookie so didn't put it on the entry form!
Heat two started a bit slower for us with the first two stages being the first ones we recci'd and we didn't do all that flash a job of reccing. We lost about ten seconds but started pulling back time on the next one. Then SS16 was canceled and we were on a good charge on SS17 when a drive shaft broke. Bit dissapointing but them are the joys of rallying! All in all I really enjoyed the event Kevin can definately pedal that car. I think though were were only getting used to each other and there was definately more in the two of us.
Will definately have to get in the navi seat again really enjoyed it. Would love to have a go at driving on gravel here aswell all I need now is a car! Anyone want to loan me their car?!!
