LBMCCC Khanacross Oran Pk 11.7.09
I went out to a Khanacross last Saturday on the "Eights" at Oran Park. Awesome day out. Sadly, this track is now due for closure any time. I'd suggest trying a Khana on this track if you can get there before they close it. It's wide open and the chance of rolling (although low) is much higher than hitting something. Only one 1600 did a low speed nose stand. Was great to meet Oldmanbluebird and his son. They were vying for highest speed along the back straight and managed 120km/h, besides throwing 30ft long rooster tails.  That gives you some idea of the speed and safety of this khanacross course. BTW, although his car was the most spectacular to watch, a gaggle of other datsuns, a celica, a couple of old lancer, 2 rexs, my buggy, a brand new mazda 6, various fwds and nissan PATROL (yes you read that right) had a crack at driving their collective wheels off. I haven't seen the results yet, but it was the best khana I've ever been too.

Trevor, you should post a link to Rob's youtube video so everyone can see what an awesome venue is being lost to another effing Sydney housing estate....... 
I had a top day as well, triple entry of the technicolour Lancer with myself, wife Nicole and Fly taking turns in the driver's seat. As expected, Fly beat me, but I had a lot of fun trying to keep up. Cheers to Lower Blue Mountains Christian Car Club for one of the best khanacrosses (and best club BBQ) I've ever been to.
Very sad that this is the final year of a top venue. Oran Park is far more than just an awesome racetrack, we lose two great khanacross areas and motorkhana area/driver training facility all at the same time............
